If Brentford hang on, it’ll be like having Sunderland back with their kit. Brentford is next to Heathrow Stadium of Flight > Stadium of Light. The one Brentford fan I’ve known to have met was visibly relieved that the answer to his question “Do you like Trump?” was a resounding no. Or maybe he was ANTIFA posing as a Brentford fan.
Brentford have to rue not getting up last year because while Toney has been great they would have been able to keep Benrhama and Watkins
As I can sadly attest from multiple experiences, you have to think beyond or things will go poorly. Although they do have a much more PL ready lineup than we did at the end of last year
I don’t think there was malicious intent with what Fulton did. Definite red but it wasn’t like Roy Keane’s attempted murder on Papa Haaland. It’s surprising similar collisions don’t happen more often.
I thought it looked awful live. Saw replay. Still a red but the guy caught his heel and then lost balance making it look ridiculous.
They might not survive next season but I think Brentford is in good shape considering how they’ve shaped the club.
That’s all well & good but the added variable of other players feet and their unpredictability to the people not controlling them makes it more chaotic
There's also the problem with the Brentford player slowing up, not sure if he was trying to draw the foul but that's what most defenders do in that situation these days.
If you want more playoff action, Bundesliga playoff (3rd from bottom in Bundesliga and 3rd from top in Bundesliga 2) 2nd leg on. Holstein Kiel won 1-0 away 1st leg. 2nd leg has 3 goals in 6 minutes and Köln now up on away goals
Holstein Kiel is what should be taught to children as what caused WWI instead of the Archduke’s assassination. A quick land grab war (Holstein) and massive naval buildup (Kiel) makes a lot more sense.
I have a soft spot for them due to how many guys stayed when they last went down. Don’t want to see if they do it again
Ruins a nice, tidy story though. Also anyone who thinks the assassination “caused” WWI has nothing more than a spark notes version of it.
Sure, it was absolutely what set it off. But it wasn't *because* of it which I think is a fundamental misunderstanding for a lot of people. European history from Napoleon through, really now, is fucking fascinating.
