Street Rosenthal of HandicappingTrends FREE PICK *200 Los Angeles Angels -115 I am taking the Angels for another win vs the Orioles tonight. The Angels bats look ready for another great outing after yesterdays hit fest. I have the Angels as 26-8 SU since 2006 within 20 cents of pickem after a 5+ run win. I also have the Angels as 21-7 SU since 2005 after a win in which they allowed 12+hits and it is not the first game of a series. Finally, I have the Orioles as 3-17 SU since 2005 within 20 cents of pickem after scoring 6+ runs. Take the Angels for another win tonight. Street Rosenthal of HandicappingTrends *200 Carolina Panthers +3 Carolina has owned New York in the preseason. The Panthers have won five of the six all-time meetings between the teams. The Panthers are 11-8 straight up and 13-4 against the spread record against NFL opponents. The Panthers are 6-2 in week one, and an impressive 8-2 as a dog in preseason. The Giants are 15-23-1 as favorites in preseason play since 1990. Eli Manning, Brandon Jacobs, and the rest of the first-string is expected in a limited capacity tonight. Backups David Carr, Andre' Woodson and rookie Rhett Bomar are expected to play. For the Panthers, Jake Delhomme will start Monday's game before handing over to the reserves Josh McCown and Matt Moore. Take the Panthers tonight for the cover, and don't be suprised if the Panthers pull off the upset for the SU win. Good Luck!! Thank you for your purchase Street Rosenthal of HandicappingTrends *300 Texas Rangers -140 I am taking the Rangers for the win vs the Twins tonight. The Rangers have been the hotter team and I think it stays that way tonight. I have the Twins as 1-12 SU since 2004 season as a dog after a loss in which their starter pitched less than 3 innings. I also have the Rangers as 24-8 SU since 2004 at home vs a team that has lost at least their last two games and it is the first game of a series. I also have other trends totaling 7-29 SU in favor of a Twins loss. Take the Rangers and the Win. Good Luck!!

KELSO HIGHROLLERS MLB PICK for TODAY Highrollers Baseball Monday, August 17, 2009 15 UnitsRangers {T.Hunter} (-130) over Twins {F.Liriano} 8:05 PM -- Rangers Ballpark in Arlington TEXAS RANGERS (66-50) -130 over Minnesota Twins (56-61) Pitching for Texas: RH Tommy Hunter (5-2, 2.26) Pitching for Minnesota: LH Francisco Liriano (5-11, 5.39) Rangers Trend Profile: Last 10: 7-3, Streak: Won 2, Home Record: 39-22, Against LHP: 24-18. Twins Trend Profile: Last 10: 3-7, Streak: Lost 2, Road Record: 23-34, Against RHP: 38-37. Starting Time: 8:05 TV: Fox Sports North, Fox Sports Southwest Comments: This is all about pitching and Texas has all the edges in that category. The Rangers send rookie Tommy Hunter to the mound and, despite his success, shows signs the best is yet to come. Hunter comes into this off a 5-0 win over Cleveland—a game in which he had masterful control, striking out five and issuing not one single walk. He is 2-0 with an E.R.A. of 1.23 in his last two starts and has shown true grit with runners in scoring position. In that situation, batters are 6-for-44 (.136) against him, including 1-for-21 with two outs. Clear. Winds blowing in from center field at 5-15 m.p.h. Game-time temperature: Around 95.

Sam Clayton 8/17 20 dime - Rangers Absolutely love the value we're getting with the Rangers. And while the line has jumped 15 cents, I'm still shocked it's not even higher. Vegas is begging you to think that the Rangers are in for a letdown spot and they're throwing a juicy underdog right in your face, but I'm laying the chalk and backing the favorite. Texas was very impressive over the weekend against the Red Sox, winning 2 of 3 and claiming the top spot in the AL Wild Card standings. I'm extremely confident that they ride the momentum into tonight and pound Francisco Liriano, who let's face it, has been nothing more than name recognition the past two seasons. After a very impressive 2006 season (when Liriano went 12-3 with a 2.16 ERA) the southpaw missed the backend of that season and sat out all of 2007 after undergoing Tommy John surgery. To say the least, he just hasn't been the same dominant pitcher he once was. After a mediocre 2008, Liriano has vastly struggled this season (5-11, 5.39), but it delves deeper than his putrid numbers. His fastball has lost velocity and life, and his once devastating slider is noticeably missing its bite and sharp break. The Twins have lost four of Liriano's last five starts and the former Rookie of the Year contender is 3-6 with a 6.01 ERA on the highway this season. Tommy Hunter (5-2, 2.26) gets the call for Texas, and he's been sensational all year long, posting a 1.13 WHIP and holding opposing hitters to a .222 batting average. Hunter is 4-1 with a 2.20 ERA since the All-Star break and he's 2-0 his last two starts with an amazing 1.23 ERA over that span. Opponents are 6-for-44 (.136) off him with runners in scoring position, including 1-for-21 when there are two outs. I love backing the Rangers at home (39-22) where they boast one of the best records in all of baseball. Minnesota has had a tough year away from the Terrordome having dropped 34 of 57 road contests. Lately, these teams have been playing the complete opposite, with Texas having won 7 of 10 while the Twinkies have lost 7 of 10. Play the Rangers as your Monday top play winner.
