I took that to mean it's like when you steal your parents alcohol as a kid, but don't want them to notice. So you take a little of this and a little of that, pour it in a water bottle, and then vomit after taking one sip.
Good chance it wasn't true, but there had been some fairly persistent hearsay that JJ ultimately wasn't going to survive the softball scandal
Yea I just don't know if 'laying the groundwork' means putting that cause in formal writing or getting lawyers to dot the Is and cross the Ts
I have it on good authority that is true. It was only a matter of time before the other shoe dropped in it. That's why it's so shocking to me that they're handling this methodically.
BTC has connections in the FBI and took down college basketball so we could take down Jay Jacobs. Sorry not sorry
We are more like Haitian slaves to their French masters than much of power hitters but one day we will cast off the shackles
He'll battle you to the death in defense of a perceived slight coming from a joke that went over his head.
Louisville isn’t a mix of Austin and New Orleans. It’s more like Austin and New Orleans are part Louisville
It's going to take a while, even if other coaches start singing to the FBI, the FBI still needs to corroborate what they hear/see from them as well as from the Nike EYBL people they subpoenaed.
All this got me thinking. How many AD's can you guys name off the top of your head besides your own? I bet the majority in this thread know who Jay Jacobs is. I know the name of maybe two or three other AD's in the country. To be that famous for being a moron is pretty incredible. It shows how bad our leadership is in general that there is no awareness of that fact.
I wouldn't've associated the name Jay Jacobs with Auburn AD until this thread, even though I've probably heard the two together before. Can think of 12-15 off the top of my head.
ADs typically get in the news when firing/hiring a football coach or when their football or basketball program is under NCAA investigation. Or there’s an athletic department rape scandal. Cliffs: you really don’t want the general public to know your AD’s name.
I should have narrowed that question to SEC fans. That is more like what I meant. This is not the first time he has been discussed by fans of other SEC schools.
Other than my alma mater, the school I work at and some of the schools within the conference, Kentucky, formerly Louisville, and now Auburn, that's it.
Most know Jeff Long because of the football playoff committee and the Petrino situation. I know Ole Miss' because of their scandal mostly. I can probably rattle off half of the SEC's AD's off the top of my head.
Crazy Rumor Alert: Duck fan co-worker told me today that according to some college coaches up in Portland, this whole thing was started by Craig Robinson who couldn't recruit @ Oregon State because all of the players were being sold to different schools so he turned to his sister and requested her influence to "look into the matter"
