Veep is a juggernaut. No shame in losing to that show. I can see them winning an Emmy for writing though at some point.
I've been listening to some early You Made It Weird episodes. it's Pete Holmes' podcast. I don't know if this is interesting to you guys, but apparently Thomas Middleditch and Kumail had a pretty big falling out back in the day before the show. They're being careful not to mention what it was exactly, but it was a professional thing, but then they mention that professional/personal lines are muddied in comedy. I thought it was interesting.
are these Verizon commercials during the tournament making anyone else slowly hate Thomas Middleditch? I need this show to come back to stem the tide.
Yeah a little ridiculous but doesn't seem like they are sticking with the compression company any longer, which if they made it out about that it would be a little ridiculous. Seems like Hooli is going with the box which will get the technology out there for mass use and render Pied Piper useless for the most part. Then they have to come up with yet another new idea. I hope they move away with the whole they can't succeed type thing though.
Oh I'm sure they will. There might not be anyone I trust more with comedy than Mike Judge. And his #2 Alec Berg is underappreciayed. Dude worked on Seinfeld, Curb, and Euro Trip.
This is really hurtful, Beo. Not only have we been friends for years over a shared hatred of BBT, but we're also the two biggest 30 Rock fans on tmb. Apologize now.
If you wanted to do something private with a man back then it wasn't gay, It was just two men celebrating each other's strength.
Holy shit you guys. Just ripped through all 3 seasons in the last two days. What a great fucking show.
I knew they were gonna do the bathroom gag again hahaha Great start. The whole Richard convincing Jared to move on was perfect. "Gilfoyle can I please be CEO of pied piper? " Richard insisting on taking the name with him and the response.
Im seeing the boys get rich on Piperchat and Richard gets jealous because he's poor/failing but potentially revolutionizing the world.
The quick doses of him are perfect. An entire show centered around that character would be really difficult to write imo
"Yeah... the fucking nanny got another DUI and lost her license, so now I'm stuck picking up my own kid like a fucking asshole"
I really enjoy the fact that the only person who has good luck on this show is Bighead. So I don't have to be CEO, right? Dinesh is taking care of that?
I love every Hooli scene and every Russ scene. The rest are still good but damn those are always incredible.
That was a nearly flawless season opener. There were so many great moments I can't wait to watch again. Russ yelling "I'll pay for you to fuck that dude" in the (wrong) elementary school parking lot was my favorite
