Watched the pilot today. Enjoyed it. This review makes me even more excited. Cranston + Graham Yost & Justified folks + Character Actress Margo Martindale (among many others) http://uproxx.com/sepinwall/bryan-cranston-sneaky-pete-amazon-review/2/
I watched the pilot like a year ago when it was part of that pilot contest on amazon; glad it got picked up for a full season. I'm even more impressed that Cranston signed on for a full 10 episodes. I thought his appearance was just a cameo at the end of the pilot. Will be watching this weekend.
Just watched first two episodes last night, already hooked. I've always loved Ribisi as a character actor and this is the tits. lol'd mightily at the hot cousin's baby daddy(lawyer in e2) being the dude from Scotty Doesn't Know. We expecting more than one season?
There are a couple of Cranston monologues during this first season that were reeeeeaallllllly good television. Ribisi is great and I really liked the casting for the entire family. Spoiler The wife and I were joking that the real Pete came off as half a tard during his jail scenes, then the finale has you thinking he pulled off this major heist that no one even knows about
Just finished. Loved the end, very Oceans 11. The last three episodes were very good after a slow burn to set everything up.
Watched the first three episodes. This show is badass. Surprised it's not getting more love on here. Guess that's because not everyone has Amazon Prime.
The sheer amount of content we have access to now is amazing...but I'll be fucked if the delays some of these shows take between seasons doesn't drive me crazy.
Hands down Amazon's biggest issue right now is how long it takes to churn out the full length season. No reason it should be year(s) between pilot and full production. Absolutely loved Pete, pretty close to Red Oaks as my favorite Amazon production.
Well, it's not even just Amazon. The time between Aziz's seasons on Netflix and Dong Lover's seasons on FX are just as bad.
I read an interesting article about how Amazon tracks the success of their shows. They take the total amount spent and divide by the # of streams of the first episode. A successful show for them may cost $40-50 a stream, this show was over $1000 per stream.
It is actually first time streamers watching the first episode. It is a way to track what shows are actually bringing new subscribers to amazon or at least making people start using prime video. Shows like Grand Tour and first season of Man on the High Castle did well. I enjoyed Sneaky Pete, this just means that it isn't bringing new people to Amazon.
I feel like I just saw the first commercial for it right when this season dropped. I feel like the only time you see ads for amazon shows are if you’re on amazon, or using an amazon product.
Just finished, great season. Lizzie is one of the hottest people ever on television. Tex almost ruined it for me. Hated every second he was on the screen, but I guess you need to balance out the hotness.
Yeah, I went on a Google Image search for her the other day hoping to run into some ridiculous pictures, but not much out there. Probably nothing hotter than the outfit in the final episode.
