You guys will both be invited to the inaugural lechnerd pool party. I ordered a half dozen of the noodle flotation devices so we should have a good time.
I'll bring my local pool mechanic/BBQ chef extraordinaire a.tramp ... he can provide superior BBQ and can also replace your Hayward equipment with superior Pentair products It's possible he will have a new tile saw to replace a tile for you as well.
hay guys my snobby pool salt cell died, but not before the flow switch died and I replaced that. so now I'm back to old school liquid chlorine. also earlier this year the navigator pro died so now I manually vacuum up shit. note: the kids and I haven't been in the pool in months. pools are great!
lechnerd hows the pool coming along? my folks started a pool around the same time as you and had many of the same weather delays im sure you had (they live within a couple miles of RRR). They're finishing up their pool this week when it was originally supposed to be done around the 1st week of october.
had my 9 ft deep monster pool re-done with diamond brite . strongly recommend . marcite just does not have enough asbestos .
Hey friend, supposed to pour concrete for the surrounding decking today. Not sure how that’s going to work with the large amount of rain we are expecting. After that they just need to lay the travertine on top of the concrete and plaster the pool. Our delays have had a lot more to do with the company Blue Haven as opposed to the weather. But I haven’t cared too much as we aren’t going to be able to use it until April at the earliest.
a.tramp or any other expert out there, is it possible to patch missing tiles from the edge trim below a pool deck? The top tiles in a few areas (probably around 2-3 square feet) around the pool have come lose and fallen off. I wanted to know how much trouble it was going to be to fix it.
I don’t fix with structural crap so your guess is as good as mine. Check out Noble tile to possibly find a match though.
Looks good. What made you decide to go with the blue tiles around the top of the pool instead of a continuation of what's on the wall by the hot tub?
Good question. The small tiles on the wall next to the hot tub are designed to shine and glimmer in the light when the waterfall is on and the sun is out. So the water will spill over over those tiles into the pool and create a lighting effect when the sun is out and the water is running. Its meant to be a highlight piece. We'll see if it works as planned.
If you watch very carefully at about the 5:15 mark, you'll see where the owner overfills his pool twice in order to ensure proper curing of all structural elements.
It is part of the pool structure you gigantic jackass. In the biz anything tile, plaster, gunite related is called structural. Stick to what you know, which is apparently nothing!
