Yea first nightfall me and Slim did last night.. 11 ascendant shards :killmyself: second one, my 3rd 4 horseman :killmyself:
Would be quite interesting. I see where they come from on some of it, knights, wizards, captains, legionaries, etc. All used to describe heroes and good guys. Who knows though.
I think maybe instead of the Traveller being the darkness instead of the light type deal we find out that the Traveller just used Earth and humans for it's own survival. Like how we are Guardians and we are just guarding it and doing it's bidding.
I enjoy playing Destiny on PS4. I have about 10 games and I really only play Destiny. I'm ok with that.
I really liked it until the dlc came out and it seemed like my progress was set back. Haven't played since.
i already have more time invested in destiny than any other game i've ever played and it's not even close.
it is by far the best and most active gaming community i've been a part of. I really don't mind paying $100 to beta test a game for a year
I love it and have played it for over 1000 hours. I still find the conjecture of this thread title from before the game was released funny though given how divisive and incomplete the game has been through the first year.
destiny is pretty much one of the only games i've played since it came out. pretty much everyone active in the ps4 destiny thread probably has 700+ hours played.
Destiny's multiplayer is actually really fun. If most of my friends were still playing it I probably would be as well
same here. generally i get bored with games before i even beat them but i can't stop playing destiny.
destiny is like diablo, civ, skyrim, etc. where i just can go back and play the hell out of it for a while. however destiny had me playing non-stop the longest. i think it was basically a month before house of wolves came out before i took a week off for another game. the grind is real.
The gameplay itself is great. The story, "campaign", and grindfest that it actually is sucks. This is coming from a former Bungie fanboy. They are the Apple of gaming now (thanks to Activi$ion)
All MMOs are grindfests. The story is great but the presentation is abysmal. I don't really understand the Apple comparison.
I'm approaching 2000 hours. Idk if it's the best game ever but I really enjoyed playing year 1 and year 2 is leaps and bounds better in my opinion and ToO or hard raid hasn't even come out yet.
I have the same opinion of people who hate on Big Bang Theory. That shit may be mainstream, but I think it's smart and enjoyable. If you hate on it then you have some sort of agenda and need to lighten up and take things for what they are worth. Go play some other game and tell me how much it changes from week to week based on user feedback from reddit or bungie.net. I never thought the devs would let us ascend old guns just because we wanted it and voiced that on forums. When that happened, I became even more of a believer in the work and long term plan for Destiny.
the game certainly had a rough start but honestly that should have been expected considering how new this type of game is. the potential we all saw is finally turning into more than just potential. they've done a fantastic job with everything year 2 and i have very few remaining complaints. destiny is only improving and should thrive for years to come. but, you know, if people want to continue to hate on it because of the many flaws early on then more power to them. they just get to miss out on all of the great things that have been done in the destiny universe and community. destiny is more of an experience than a game. year 1 will never happen again. grinding VoG just to be stuck at 29 until TDB dropped won't happen again (i got to 30 after my first run lolz). i won't have to spend all of year 1 waiting on a fatebringer just to get it two weeks before TTK launches (thank science for that). finally beating HM CE and immediately going to the tower to dance in a group with glowhoo equipped no longer means anything but for a while it meant everything. i very much regret missing the few things i did in year 1 (mercury, skolas, collecting full sets of IB/ToO gear). the satisfaction and enjoyment i've gotten from this game, along with the friends i've made along the way, compares to nothing else i've ever played. i can't wait to see where this journey takes us and i'm glad it's bungie that's leading the way.
I quit right before house of wolves. I came back last week and so much has improved in all areas (except that they broke my year 1 guns). If they keep building on this for the next ten years it will definitely be the best game ever
Have high hopes for the second game. As you said, there were bugs to work out in the first attempt, but they make a few changes and it could really be great. Changes I'm hoping for in game 2: -More guns, weapons, and armor- and more customization between them. The classes were just a little too similar. Don't put a cap of one piece of exotic weapons and armor. Cuts down too much on the endgame goal and gives you less to work toward. -Make exotic pieces harder to get. Maybe keep Xur, but make the items more expensive. -More raids, from the beginning. -Make the levels and items actually matter, even a little bit, in PVP. (Not just in Iron Banner) Kinda kills the fun a tad when a level ten with green weapons was just as dangerous as me at 30, and made progress less important. Just make brackets in matchmaking every 5-10 levels.
Im at work. Do xur engrams and armor drop at 310? Im at 302 and a chest and a helmet could give me around 20 points
they can drop at 290 or 310 as long as you're at least 300. i'd say I probably get about 40% 310s but rng will rng.
thoughts: -I do agree that the classes are too similar and more weapons/armor styles are needed but I don't really want to equip more than one exotic except in a special crucible mode. -Exotics definitely need to be harder to aquire. -That would be great but I'm not sure it's realistic. Hopefully I'm wrong. -Adding that to regular crucible kind of kills the point of Iron Banner and Trials of Osiris. I'd welcome more playlists with that feature but they shouldn't all be like that.
Ok, i had heard they can drop at 310 but last time was my first xur in a long time and i got 290 stuff. I was ariund 290 then and 302 now. Trying to get all i can for hardmode
- - -By more from the beginning, I mean have more than just one. Have 2 or 3 ready at the beginning. I think that's doable. -I mean Iron Banner was only around for a week every 1-2 months. Not like it was a big focus of the game for anything. If Iron Banner is around more way more often than yeah, not needed. I don't think it kills the point of TOS, either. The thing about TOS is that it's elimination based and you get rewards. I don't know how levels and gear mattering in other playlists makes that pointless.
because there is already an elimination playlist. the only difference is the drops. i guess wow launched with a few raids so that may not actually be as unlikely as i thought. dedicated servers would make it more realistic.
