Pretty simple question. Please only those who are participating in the pickem vote. Pros: - Add separation in the standings. - Rewards those who can anticipate a draw in a close game. - It is an outcome to a match. - More chances for 10-0 weeks that would not happen if draws were not available Cons: - Lower percentages (yes I am keping track of your percentages as this coul dbe used as a tie breaker) - Seen as cop out pick. - Draws are gay
While this is here. I think we are going to get some new people to join in the upcoming days and I was thinking that we should look ahead to a date where we start up a new pick'em. That way others can get in and those that have fallen behind won't stop sending in picks. We will have a winner for the first part and then start a new one. Thoughts?
I voted Yes. Draws are a part of Soccer, so why shouldnt they be an option in a pickem? I will say this though, I have yet to put a draw down for a match. I think there is too much risk reward with it.
yea I agree with that, was just thinking of a way to get new people that didn't get to do it from the start
maybe a 1st half and a 2nd half champion, but do something cool for the season long champion, not sure though
this is the first week i knew we could pick draws...it's also the first week i spent half an hour making my picks (normally i take 2mins)...it's also the first week i have a chance in hell of topping the weekly standing...anyway my point is it's not really worth it to take a hard look at each team if you can't predict a draw...you're much better off just picking the favorite every time...draws give those willing to put in the research or take a chance at moving up a better opportunity to score more points...takes some of the crap shoot aspect out of it.
