Already on there for 2800 BIN haha.
Why yes, I would like to make a couple mortgage payments for this. Thank you. I love sports memoribilia, but lower level stuff. Will never get that persnickety in my collection
Yeah only concern I have really is the transition from the "n" to the "t" in Mantle. The same dude is also selling this... Usually when it is too good to be true, it is lol.
Spoiler: Babe Ruth Bat
That’s a lot of decent stuff
Ever since watching that 30 for 30 counterfeiter episode....pretty sure every mantle auto out there is a fake.
I’ve got one on a book from when I was 7 and he was signing at a card show. I’d probably never be able to sell it though because the lack of LOA, but at least I know it’s real.
What are these worth? A lot of Gem Mints. Congrats.
If any of y'all pull any nice Alabama players rookies/inserts out of this year's football stuff, or if you have some older stuff that you'd want to get rid of, shoot me a PM.
Yeah I definitely am in the market for a Kevin Byard Bowman rookie.
A bunch of these and a dozen other cards arrived today, feeling a bit too lazy tonight for the photo routine. I'm not tech advanced like you guys. I got to get out the digital camera, take the photo, take a couple because the flash might fuck one up, plug in the digital camera, download the photos to my computer, choose a non-fucked up photo, delete the other photo(s), resize the remaining photo in mspaint, upload the photo to Imgur, copy the link and post the photo in the thread. I likely could have done all of that in less time than it took me to type out the process, but...
I have over 200 Daniel lynch autos , hopefully he makes it big.
Surely you kid.
I'm worn out just reading about it
Same here, I got a ball at a card show probably 30 years ago now, back when needing a COA wasn’t a thing; I got a Berra ball around then, too. I know they’re real, as well as the Todd zeile, Tom Gordon, Dwight smith, and Jerome Walton autographs I paid way too much for to meet them at card shows back then, but nobody in their right mind would care about those. Luckily I won’t be trying to sell either for a while and at least I know they’re real, just wonder if there’s a good place to try to get them authenticated after the fact.
Never heard of him but hopefully it works out for you.
Here's some of the shit I was too lazy to post yesterday.
Those SP Chirography cards were some of my favorites before getting out of the game, only have the Tony Gwynn, but it's such a beautifully clean set. Upper Deck at the time was incredible compared to any other brand, they were so far ahead of the curve. Also, speaking of Tony Gwynn, I again have his version of this card, but this Griffey was the one I lusted over
The 1999 Chiro set is probably my fav followed by the 1998 Chiro. I started out trying to keep my auto hoarding to 90's stuff only but I've failed miserably at that. Just saw another auto set I'll likely need.
Side note: I followed Braves baseball for years, fell in love with Ron Gant and others on the team in the 80's. I think a lot of people followed the Braves back then as it was basically the only baseball you'd get to watch on TV (TBS was owned by Ted Turner who also owned the Braves). Anyway, when Chipper Jones showed up I hated him. I thought he was smug, overhyped, and his name sucked. I was certain Ryan Klesko would be the better player and Jones would be out of the league after a few seasons. Took me many years to accept the L on that one. I'm still a bit bitter towards Chipper for proving me wrong.
Nice signature, Ronald.
Not surprising at all.
Its pretty incredible the number of people under 30 that dont know how to legitimately sign their name in cursive.
Its getting more and more rare to find anyone who has a decipherable signature thats nice to look at.
Wow. I'm surprised a couple of the letters aren't backwards.
I looked on ebay out of curiosity, he signed this way from 2010 - 2016. He finally got an actual signature in 2017.
So Topps has this thing they call the home run challenge. It comes about 1 per box I noticed, there's a scratch-it on the back with a code. You take that code and enter it into Topps database by predicting the game that player will hit a home run. I have 4 of the Home Run Challenge cards, my first prediction was for my Acuna card in which I predicted he'd hit a home run tonight.
So now I guess I wait for my numbered card to show up in the mail. Here's what the game card looks like:
I don't know what the numbered cards will look like for 2019 but here what they looked like for 2018 winners:
I've got about 10 of these I need to put in
Opened mail today.
Any time you get two Bo autos in the mail it's a good day. Hard to see the Archives auto in the photo because it doesn't have that whiteout section, easy to see it in person though, it's a /5 edition.
I'll be getting a Yelich one of these now too. So far 2 for 4 playing this game. Missed on Correa and Bregman.
Was able to snag a panini 2018-2019 fotl national treasures. Going to flip it if anyone is interested.
Almost purchased some 2019 Bowman boxes. Luckily I was made aware of potential sticker autos hiding inside. Sticker autos and redemptions, get your shit together Topps. Instead of getting boxes to open I waited until I got home and ordered more of my pitching trio I'm watching this year (Berrios, Bauer, Nola). Have over a dozen packages sitting on the coffee table I haven't opened, maybe I should do that instead of dicking around on the internet.
Here's what was in those packages I was too lazy to open yesterday.
Picked up a binder of 200 autos from this set I plan on putting together.
Saw this on the PSA Instagram page. Now that's what you call a white whale. Wow.
I'll like it although I'm a bit anti-Trout.
Acuna topps update rc's have already approached $20. That's crazy
That's going to go down as probably the deepest Rookie class in quite some time. Acuna, Soto, Buehler, Ohtani, Albies, Hoskins, Flaherty, Adames, Meadows, Torres. If you're into the investing side of cards, I'd start hoarding all 2018 boxes.
I asked my brother to estimate the value on that card and he told me ~$200k. That's insane.
I started playing MyNBA2k mobile on my phone because you collect virtual cards. Too cheap to buy cards for now.
I said a 'bit'. I'm not all in on the hate like I am with Harper or anything Yankees.
Jealous of that name.
You are jealous of somebody named Brock?
Contacted a distributor. I can check all their boxes regarding business license and commercial address required for ordering. A DBA is dirt cheap and I can do all this on the up and up. I haven't received their price list but cases are said to be 30%-50% off MSRP. Just have to decide if I want to spin my wheels blowing out boxes of cards to get a free box or two per case sold.
Or you can sell them to us at a discount. Thanks brother
yes do this please
Do it. Great way to supplement your hobby. You’ll probably end up just opening all the cards and not selling any. But at least you get 40% more now.
Forgot about the auto I opened today from Fridays mail run. Cal Ripken, Rickey Henderson, George Brett, Mike Schmidt, Ernie Banks, Jim Abbott and 7 or 8 scrubs I needed for sets.
Lets see that Rickey! My favorite player of all time.
