Wow, I was only joking but Ill go ahead and sleeve that one if son hasnt destroyed it already. Was thinking maybe $10
I got my PSA membership in 2020 and just got one year. It kept getting extended because of their shut downs. Realized I still have 8 days left on it. Should send something out this week
Yea the Pokémon card collecting has started here too for about 6 months. A family friends son wanted some last time they visited. He’s 8 and his dad is a cheap fuck. I bought him a shitload of cards. He pulled some $200 card sitting in front of me. Since then every time I can buy anything Pokémon cards I do and then never open it. I have no idea what I’m doing. Thanks.
Dude I know just got a Deebo 1/1 out of a Prestige blaster. Not that cool of a card other than the whole rarity thing but still a nice pull. Spoiler
Nice! I've pulled two one of one's if you count printing plates. One if you don't. Printing plate was the Ray's team card out of topps...the other was a Tsutsugo from Fire
I've pulled 5 1/1. 2 of them were printing plates. Only one of them was really great, Tyrese Haliburton rookie out of select basketball. Sold it to someone in here. That's a lie actually, forgot about Topps Archives. I think I've pulled 10 1/1 out of archives, but everything is numbered in there and it's much easier to hit a 1/1.
Anyone here a Pokémon card collector? I’m trying to buy older packs but idk who/what to trust. eBay and Amazon sketch me out. Need advice. TCP gaming sell them?
I've pulled a Deion Sanders 1/1 mini from Legacy, a Diontae Johnson 1/1 shield patch from Limited, and a Vic Beasley 1/1 from Score (after he was cut by the Falcons).
I bought 3 mosaic nba megas and pulled a Lebron /10. Amazing pull right? It barely is worth double the price of the megas. So stupid.
Preorders for Donruss Football hobby are about 50% of what they were last year. I don't know if that's the draft class, market correction, or both.
All the above, but football cards driven by QBs and we went from a lot of 1st rd QBs to one of worst QB classes. Think that's keeping the people trying to make a ton of money away
I'm far from an expert, but I believe you can weigh older pokemon packs and figure out which ones have holos in them. Fair chance buying older packs would be a huge bust. Also, Stetson Bennett XXXVI kicks puppies for fun.
Exactly. Being one of the worst QB drafts in recent memory will have a major effect on wax prices and demand. I also think that people have gotten kicked in the nuts enough when buying hobby boxes that they'll only rip retail or buy in to group/team breaks so demand is down a lot. The card market isn't going away. It will still be really strong. Just because prices have gone down a lot over the past year doesn't mean interest is down. People just don't have the disposable income these days to be throwing it at wax and singles. I also think a lot of people were humbled. If you didn't know anything about cards/products/sets and bought the wrong players in 2020/2021 then you probably lost a lot of money and decided that maybe this isn't your avenue. Influencers can be partly blamed for that (another part of the hobby that I hope disappears very soon).
Those packs are inside mini boxes so it’s not like you can find the marked packs and choose that pack
i thought the point was Topps is putting them in certain boxes and maybe they know where they send those...
Certainly possible but instill don’t buy into those conspiracies I think they know a lot but I don’t buy into all the other bullshit
Getting milk at Walmart today and a fat pack of prizm basketball was sitting next to the checkout lane like someone saw the price and set it down. Threw it in my cart, it had a Franz Wagner base prizm, a Cade image variation and an orange cracked ice Jalen Green in it
Just found out signing on loupe today my LCS (well its 40 min away, but closest legit shop to me) is a breaker on there now
Over and over and over again they keep doing it. To make this one worse, one of the bigger auction houses listed it on ebay as an auto.
Until you decide to start trying to collect as many rookie cards of one player as you can, you don't realize how fucking over saturated panini has made the hobby. There are so many basketball cards
I was talking to a guy working in a card shop awhile back, he told me a player (don't remember the players name) and how he collected every first year card of that player and the total number of first year cards for that player was something like 330. How the hell did we get to this point, fuck.
This number is inflated because each variation is counted separately. But also keep in mind no 2022 nba cards are out yet so these are all rookies (and i think more 2021 cards still being released) But according to TCDB, Cade Cunningham has 1,996 different cards right now
Different NBA products Donruss, Elite, Optic, Hoops, Hoops Winter, Chronicles (which has like 6-7 base rookies per player), Contenders, Court Kings, Crown Royale, Illusions, Impeccable, Mosaic, National Treasures, Noir, Obsidian, One and One, Origins, Photogenic, Prizm, recon, revolution, select, spectra, draft prizm, draft Chronicles (again 6-7 different sets within), draft flawless, draft immaculate, draft national Treasures. That's like 40 or so just "base" rookies.
Headed out to the card shop with my son. Going to grab him some Pokémon shit… Any recommendations for me? What’s a good box to buy right now? *Not Pokémon*
Picked up a box of Panini Three and Two. Got it for $180 so I figured it was priced well. Witt is 9/25 Soriano 9/35
Im sure there is. I would imagine Stroud's stuff goes for a decent bit, especially if he wins the Heisman.
Hope you sell quickly for some decent money cause he’s not good and his prices are only going to go down.
