This is a really dumb question, but do y’all display your personal collections in your house or is it all tucked away somewhere? I haven’t bought cards in 20+ years but love following this thread and seeing everything y’all pull/purchase. Kinda helps me vicariously scratch a very nostalgic itch.
Again, stupid question but I’ve seen a lot of stuff you’ve posted itt and know there’s some value there. Do you store at home in something that has a humidity control?
I have most of my stuff stowed away because I live in an apartment. But whenever I buy a house I will have some of my cooler cards displayed. When I was a kid I had a big frame that held like 4 rows of 5 cards. Think I got it at Michael’s or Hobby Lobby.
So I bought this on a flyer. Does anyone have familiarity with these stickers? https://www.ebay.com/itm/1257383549...fM0dzJjTQ6&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
Have mine displayed nicely on a wall in a room that's about to be taken over by baby #2 so it's all getting packed up...
One change I noticed ebay made is when you make an offer on a card once that offer is accepted it charges your preferred method of payment automatically. Should cut down on fuckos making offers on things they have no intention of paying for.
This is every non-paying ebay user. My block list has at least 150 people on it and I still get non-payers all the time.
does anyone sell multi thickness top loaders? Or do you have to buy 25 packs of each size individually.
I don't know of any 'combo packs' but there are some good sellers on ebay that offer free shipping so you can stock up and get regular, 75 pt, 100 pt, 120 pt, 130 pt, 180 pt + penny sleeves and then you'll be set for a while. I believe the 100 pt and higher cases come in packs of 10.
Would love to get my hands on a guaranteed unopened 1984 USFL box. All of these rookies • 36 Jim Kelly • 52 Steve Young • 58 Reggie White • 59 Anthony Carter • 76 Marcus Dupree https://www.ebay.com/itm/3338961609...Y+AGs4kC3EVAy98w/zNv9RAebB|tkp:Bk9SR7SkmqbBYQ
My home office was pretty clean until I got back into collecting. Now I have piles of cards scattered all over my desk in various stages of storing/listing/grading. This is about all I do for a display. I don’t have a ton of high value stuff - mostly just players I collect.
Mosaic hangers are the way to go if you're wanting football. I'm starting to buy more SC blasters as they seem to be pretty loaded this year + good rookies
Love the old Topps Gold football numbered set numbered to the year and 2008 was my favorite year of it. Great design and they still foil-stamped the year on the back. Grabbed these for a buck each a couple months ago. They did a political set of 2008 Topps as well so you can get Obama RCs. Biden, Huckabee, all sorts. A very funny set.
This inspired me to check the local Walmart, Target and Walgreens while my son was at basketball practice. The shelves were empty unless you like unlicensed Panini baseball products. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Looks like Panini is scrapping Playoff for Football. A good bit of the insert sets from it are in Zenith this year, including the rookie ticket previews.
Yeah I'm hoping it's an effort to speed up the releases. They scrapped Prizm draft a couple months ago as well.
You can also preorder series 1 blasters on Target now https://www.target.com/p/2023-topps-mlb-series-1-baseball-trading-card-blaster-box/-/A-88504355
Went to target. They had loose packs of Topps Update so I got a few, in addition to a couple hanger packs of Mosaic.
