Ordered the hobby box of Chrome U last Monday from Fanatics, still hasn’t shipped and just got an email saying it’s expected to ship sometime before November 1st.

Makes zero sense to me…

 

Just did it through blowout, ships same day… canceling my fanatics order

 

I know this is the case in a lot of places now but this is the most full I've basically ever seen the card aisle. Not sure there's any current product that isn't here

 

I think you also must just have a good Walmart. Mine only ever has like, Topps Heritage and Bowman U, maybe some random Panini stuff every now and then.

 

My order from Blowout Cards has already shipped, that’ll be the only place I buy stuff from now on. What a difference from my shitty fanatics experience. Fanatics customer service is really bad, tried to cancel my order online and couldn’t, so I got on the chat to cancel it, and she couldn’t because it’s a different specialty department. So I have to call them on my way home to cancel it… Wild that I couldn’t cancel it online.

 

I've noticed basketball stuff is not moving at all anymore. Stores are jammed with prizm and mosaic near me

 

I bought a couple of Topps Chrome blasters the other day at Walmart. The lady at the self service checkout was training someone and she saw me come up to the register with the cards. I overheard her telling the trainee that a couple years ago one guy used to come in and fill up a cart of cards. Wild times we've lived through.

 

Was at Beckett today picking up an order and got to chatting with another customer in the lobby. Turned out it was Matt Bush, reliever for the Rangers. He’s had a really wild life if you feel like googling about it.

Super nice guy and we ended up exchanging numbers because there’s some stuff that I offered to help him with in moving some of his bigger cards.

 

What a wild wiki. Glad he seems to have gotten his life together.

out of curiosity what stuff helps you move bigger cards?

 

Having relationships with big buyers and I can get better rates from the auction houses

 

There is another possibly/likely worse incident

I have about 2-3 numbered cards of him but sadly no auto.

 

Going through my cards and found this bad boy. Luckily I put it in a top loader because it was an auto but had no idea who he was at the time.

think I had bought a box just to rip something.

 

Especially since you'll be able to get one for free in 5 years at Cade Klubnik Kia of Greenville.

Yeah, both Blowout and DA Card World do. DA Card World used to do a deal where they would load up a box with a bunch of stuff and sell it for super cheap during the holidays. I don't think theyve done it the last few years but hopefully with things cooling off and prices coming down they do it again.

I don’t do cards myself but saw local Target had U Chrome blasters so grabbed one.

Nothing good really. Did have a purple refractor but nothing special

My little guy is 5 and taken to soccer quite a bit. Am I better off getting him a Merlin value box or a stadium club chrome giant box? Merlin is 25, sc is 40. Also getting him a bowman u chrome value box.

 

I'm always team Stadium Club, even if it's non-sport.

 

I hadn’t bought anything in a while and was looking for a cheaper hobby box to open. Grabbed a box of 2021 topps archive which were around $85. Not bad for my two autos and at least they’re on card. Also got three numbered cards. Joe Carter /25. Kris Bubic /99. Javy Baez /50. Imagine we will keep seeing a lot of deals on the 2021 cards through the holidays.

Anyone have a color list of variations on Bowman U chrome or know where i can find one?

Was going to try and do a Keon Coleman rainbow but already see one of the 1/1 sold on eBay so think I may just do all the /25 and higher ones, think I have most already.

Nice! I haven't seen any at Target or Walmart so I might need to suck it up and just order some.

I did go to Target today and picked up the last 2 Chrome blasters they had and pulled a Jeter Downs /499 auto and a Ezequiel Tovar /99 auto.
