I really want to use this target 15 percent off and rip some cards. Any previous year cards worth it on their site? They are still oos on this year’s you guys mentioned.
Bowman Chrome University Football blasters maybe. You get 3 of them you will probably get a couple numbered cards and maybe an auto.
GameStop at our local mall had a shocking amount of cards. Including 3 Donruss Mega’s. I paid the $10 over knowing I can sell it for profit today if I wanted.
Illusions is one of the absolute worst football products Panini has ever put out, especially for retail. If you can find them at retail, Mosaic, Select, Prizm are all better options.
Friend of mine has hit well on Series 1 fat packs, so I snagged 2 today when I saw them. Hit a Lawrence Butler /10(then I learned there's 3 different black parallels )
Some of my Griffeys. I got sloppy with my books. Cards are everywhere. I assume these are practically worthless based on mass production?
Signed up for their pass or whatever the 25 dollar thing gets you I'm going to start my grading through them and see how much better it is
Rule of thumb that I learned, if it's pre 1990 the values go up significantly because that's when they started just mad producing shit. Griffey McGwire bonds Puckett etc all have certain cards that are worth more fleer Griffey rookie can still bring solid money McGwire USA card is his most sought after rookie and bowman's/opeechee for all hold decent value
I have a couple of just about everything if you are expanding or need to finish a set I'm 42, have two high schoolers and quit drinking 5 years ago, this is my excitement now until football season so fire away if you need shit
Man that's a tough one these card shops turn down cards all the time for that reason alone. It's gotten a lot easier and cheaper but there's 20 companies doing it now. A $25 grade can make a huge difference on price too. My old shit has to get graded at some point just for my sanity. I have a Ted that I would consider a 8 but I'm scared as fuck it's going to come back a 5 or some shit
I think grading is great, I think grading is too biased. I’m also just tired of the emphasis on raw cards needing to be a gem condition to move
They took advantage of the Covid boom it's sickening what they did to that market, you used to be able to grade a card for 5-10 a card
Grabbed the last Series 1 mega at walmart today. Robbie Ray auto /50 Shohei HFA every other card will make a great coaster
It's solid I use it and 130 if Ludex doesn't have it, it's a good way to get comps and list on eBay if that's what you're trying to do.
Man, I pulled a Lamar Jackson memorabilia card out of a dunruss mega today. Was super excited until I saw its selling for $6 on eBay. I’m going to be really bad at this card collecting hobby I’ve recently started
In the mega's you're looking for Downtown's, and then the value is in the optic preview's. If you got any of Daniels or Williams, box is covered. JJ and Bo getting you ~half for the pink Regarding the being really bad part, you just have to know what you're wanting out of it. If it's strictly to collect teams/players you like, enter breaks. If you want to just rip packs and collect what you get, find the right level(retail/hobby), and products you like/provide bang for buck.
yea im trying to find the sweet spot. I want to collect cool shit for the players/teams I like, and I hear your best bet is buying singles, but it’s also just fun to open packs, so I’m hoping I can help fund the hobby a bit by selling the cards I don’t care about
