I had a De la Cruz rookie listed on eBay and someone bit on the offer opening day after being listed for almost a year, go to find it and the card was ruined by the kid. eBays refund process is kinda bullshit for charging a fee to refund the buyer
I think these are really cool but a huge pain in the ass to finish. Been trying to do a Cam one and I’ve been slacking on trying to complete it.
Wife was driving to target for her usual shopping and saw people lined up outside of a best buy. got in line and scored a single box of 151 cards. Feels like we won the lotto here. these damn boxes are reselling for 2-3x MSRP right now.
Guy I coached baseball with played minor league ball with Prince. Cecil used to come and hang in the locker room quite a bit. Said Cecil was great but Prince was kind of an asshat. Guy I know is a dick so it’s probably not Prince but a him thing.
I have a ton of old sports and Pokémon cards from when I was a kid. What's the best way to figure out if any of them are worth anything and how to go about selling them? I wasn't sure if I should just look each one up on eBay or take a batch to a local shop. It's not urgent that I get rid of them, but they've just been sitting in a box in a closet for years, and I'd like to finally do something with them.
ebay completed sales, 130point.com, or you can post some pictures in here and people can chime in on what they are knowledgeable about. I always hesitate to take anything to any local shop because there's a good chance they're going to attempt to swindle you.
Yeah I should have said to use 130point.com to look at eBay sales. eBay hides if a seller took an offer now.
How old is the pokemon? If you have stuff from the original sets, even the bulk is worth money depending on condition. tcgplayer.com is probably the best way to find generic value of bulk pokemon cards. For the holo's id use ebay sold listings.
Had someone win an auction last night and immediately sent a cancellation request with the reason being they found it for a better price. Should I deny the cancellation request and tell them they shouldn't have bid on it?
Deny it. Then after 4 days you can cancel the item with "buyer did not pay" as the reason. In the past it used to give them an unpaid item strike but I am not sure what the current ebay policy is.
I have to do blood work on Monday's and Fridays at 7:30. There is a target right next to the Quest I go to. I pop into target beforehand to see if there was a restock before doing my labs. There are always scalpers waiting for it to open as well. Normally everyone just walks in the same order everyone arrived at to check the stock. Today this big guy jumped into a full sprint with a cart when the store opened to be first to the shelves. His prize for his effort, 4 total packs of pokemon cards that are currnetly re-selling for about $3 more per pack than MSRP. Congrats on your $12 profit douchebag.
In another adventure of fun ebay interactions. Bought a card for $2 and paid $1 shipping (i know, big boy purchase). Post office flagged it for insufficient funds and I had to drive to the post office and pay $.46 to pick it up. Messaged seller today he didn't put enough postage and instead of offering to refund $.46 he messaged me that the post office is wrong and I should fight it.... Think I'm just going to chalk it up as an additional $.46 isn't worth doing anything more
I know most hate him and I get why. Picked this up at a local show and its jersey numbered. Hate the slab though.
since it's an older card, the auto has faded a bit so would no longer get a 10 auto and the corners are beat to shit on the back. Might PSA 7 honestly so I'll just leave it as is.
There is a big sports show in Detroit in a month and there are a ton of lions players there. I currently have a collection of Lions cracked blue ice rookies from prizm (/99). I currently have two of them signed, by Penei and Branch. I'm debating if I want to continue that collection going, but also seeing the price guys like Hutch and Gibbs are charging I'm also thinking it may be cooler to get them on a jersey or helmet instead of a card. Don't know what I'm going to do yet
Hutch $140 flats / $150 premium Gibbs $159/$199 ARSB $159/$199 Goff $199/$249 Calvin Johnson is there charging $275/335 Barry Sanders $175/225 Miguel Cabrera $175/$225 JJ McCarthy is also there charging more than Barry and Miggy, $180 for flats
Not only that, but when someone buys a card from me and gets a PSA 6, is eBay going to let them request a refund?
