One of the Project 2020 cards. I think you’d really like the concept. 20 artists make their rendering of 20 famous Topps cards from over the years. Each day 2 are released. They’re available for 48 hours. Whatever is sold is all that’s printed. There’s a 1/1 every time with a gold trim
I've seen ads for them. I was interested in the Mattingly one but all of the 1/100 ones were gone by the time i saw them.
Sorry they are 1/20. That's the only one I'd want. How much is resell? https://www.topps.com/67uj75nhyrter.html https://www.topps.com/t654yner3y5n.html
Haha na I'd only buy very few. A buddy of mine that collects sneakers switched to cards about a year ago. He posts about it all the time but I rarely know what they are. I only noticed that one bc of all the re-posts he was posting.
I spent $100 on Bowman at meijer (2 blasters at $20 each plus 4 of the $10 combo packs) Got the Jasson Chrome (Most recently sold for $52 Bobby Witt Chrome (last sold for $12.50) Bobby Witt Paper (2x) (most recent one sold for $8, but usually closer to $6) Alec Bohm Insert Chrome (last sold for $4.75) Pete Alonso Chrome insert (Going for around $4) Aristedes Aquino Chrome Insert (sells between $4-8) Gavin Lux Chrome Insert (goes up to $4) Andrew Vaughn Chrome Insert ($2-3) Phillies Pipeline Chrome card ($2-3) Plus a ton that sell for about $1 each (Skubal, Wander Franco, and others) Actually got my money back plus some. I texted my friend I found it and he wend and spent $300 on the remaining packs I left behind. He so far has gotten a chrome Jasson, a paper Jasson, a camo paper Jasson, a chrome Witt, 6 paper Witts, and he pulled a /75 Isan Diaz auto from a fat pack. He still has 15 packs left too he is debating reselling or opening.
Spent some at the local card shop while at the beach today. They had just ripped a bowman box so I snagged the braves for free
I was never looking for Chipper, I was positive he was going to be a flop. All his cards will still be sitting in my commons boxes.
Recently went through my 1992 Bowman commons and pulled out a slew of Mariano Rivera rookies. Pulled out the Hoffman's too, but I doubt those are worth selling. The Mariano's went fast, amazing condition since they've been sitting in boxes untouched for 28 years.
So I’m starting to sell some cards in order to buy more cards. When it comes to rookies is it better to sell them together or try individually?
Depends on the rookie, if it's a parallel, short print, etc If you sell them as a set I would think it would be best to sell them as a team set rather than a group of rookies from different teams.
Anyone ever had a eBay seller contact you and insult you after you make a offer? I made what I thought was a reasonable offer on some Bowman 2020 and this guy came back and said he had so much stock he was insulted and I would never get any bowman for the price I offered then said I don't know anything about the cards and to get lost. I replied back I already purchased 3 boxes for my offer and I hope his ass gets stuck and he's not able to flip them.
Is my guy someone on here, not long after I posted here I got a message explaining himself and his eBay name is tmbcollectables. If you are here guy no hard feelings, I’m just trying to get myself a deal too.
Market is going crazy. About a month ago I bought $430 or so worth of cards. 5 were PSA 10 cards and another was a non graded rookie auto. I just looked at most recent prices of those same cards on ebay, and it appears I could sell them all right now for about $560. In one month my 6 cards i bought have increased in value by about $130
For people that have submitted to PSA, is the dual graded option for cards you get signed in person? If it’s an auto that comes authenticated from Topps, do you just get the card graded?
No, if the card is supposed to be autographed, it's part of the grade. You only need to authenticate the auto if it's signed in person
Yeah, for any factory auto you don't want to do the autograph authentication because it is already guaranteed by the card company. It also takes away the appeal of the card if you get "PSA 10 Gem Mint" and then "Auto 8" right under it. I have a beautiful Mahomes Optic RC Auto in a BGS 9.5 Gem Mint and then an 8 autograph. Drives me nuts every time I see it but I'm too afraid to snap it out myself.
They sold out very quick. The worth is really in eye of the beholder. I love Bowman so I think it’s worth it. A lot of people probably disagree. Cheapest I’ve found via any LCS is 275 so $240 is good comparatively
Topps website should always say, Sold Out. We are sorry but you are too slow to beat the bots, we hope you enjoy paying 150% of msrp to large suppliers. Come back tomorrow for the same results.
maybe a dumb question, but why can't they put some type of authentication on there to purchase? i guess they are selling their product and don't give a shit?
They don’t care they are getting paid and that’s all they care about. I understand selling to the big suppliers but could they at least hold back half their products and sell straight to consumer. I get you would still have people trying to buy tons to resell but maybe only allow certain number per transaction. Give some people a fair share to get it. Or at least let the public know that hey tomorrow at 4pm ct we are releasing the hobby boxes. Or if they are I’m not be notified and I even signed up for their dumb email list.
I think the only multiples I’ll buy are the Jamieson Griffey and Brett at this point. Although if efdot keeps putting out ones like his Gwynn last week he may he added to the list.
Can someone tag me if a cool Koufax comes out? My dad was a big Koufax guy growing up as a lefty pitcher in CA, and was a huge card collector when I was a kid, so I think it'd make a cool gift for him. He's more traditional so today's Koufax wouldn't really suit him unfortunately.
dblplay1212 noticed the Jeter career thing they're doing https://www.topps.com/cards-collect...er-career-retrospective-topps-nowr-chome.html
rv12 sent that to me earlier lol. $500+? Passsss. Holy shit one is $5,000? Wild. I'll go look at $5,000 shoes now.
Wow, 2 blaster boxes of 2019-2020 basketball panini contenders just went for $160 on pristine auction. $40 retail total
