The part I don’t understand is that the Price of blasters and packs are holding steady but the individual card prices have dropped significantly for those products. I mean a month ago I found a mega box of mosaic cause everyone’s after Zion. His rookie was going for 100-125 and now it’s down to 20-60. Same with the Dominguez and bowman. You’d think as more of the cards hit the market the box would go down too.
Never, ever buy singles within the first week or two of a product being released. Everyone majorly overpays because they're the 'first' ones to hit the market. It is happening right now with Noir Basketball.
I understand that I don’t get why the box prices are staying out though. If the cards inside drop in value why don’t the boxes containing them? Maybe it’s that thought you could still hit that super prizm that’s worth $$$$$. I just hope the hobby prices return to normal. I like ripping open packs but it’s getting expensive.
"eBay 1 of 1" is still funny to read in an auction though. Also still cheaper to buy singles rather than an entire box chasing after a player
This is very important to know before anyone makes a decision. If you’re looking for certain cards/players don’t buy boxes. Buy boxes if you enjoy opening packs.
I made a rookie mistake today. Target was stocked with Bowman, 10+ blasters and as many packs. I just got 2 blasters and a pack. My friend who lives on other part of city asked me to grab him some and I decided I probably want another box or two so I went back not even an hour later and nothing was left
Oof. Yea if you ever see them, get as many as you can right now. Prices for blasters are starting to come down so I don’t imagine/hope the resalers will scoop all bowman much longer
bought a bowman blaster off of ebay for $32, there is not shit around me and i dont feel like driving all over creation to get it
Also got a Tigers pipeline/150 refractor. Think it's only worth a couple bucks but cool as a Tigers fan
Yea luckily there are like 6 stores within a 10 minute drive of me that sell cards. But I usually just check if I'm out shopping already
This is my problem, in my city there are only 5 stores besides the 1 lcs that sell cards, and the two targets sell like 3 things Opening day, heritage, and Donruss. I was hitting them up every day for about two weeks and nothing ever looked like it got restocked. So rather than wasting gas I just buy off eBay.

Went to target during lunch at the one I know restock on Thursdays. They had a bunch of bowman and the bowman mega boxes. Also had mosaic basketball. Got 4 mosaic blasters, a bowman blaster and a mega box. 1 guy came running over right after me and scooped up all the mega boxes. Might stop on the way home just to see what's left Also I'm debating on if I should open the mosaics or try to sell them. I kind of want to open them and try my luck again next Thursday. Hmmm
Oh shit. I got a Dominguez blue parallel numbered to 150. And a Dominguez chrome refractor from the mega box in the special pack. Looks like both can sell pretty well. Definitely going again next Thursday. If I got there a few minutes later today I'd be out of luck as the dude behind me snagged all the rest. Piece of shit.
Also got a Jacob Amaya auto green chrome parallel numbered to 99. Looks like it goes for around $60. And a Michael Mercado auto blue parallel to 150

No Zion rookie in the 4 mosaic blasters. Bummer. Pulled a Ja rookie, Kevin Huerter auto, and the colored prizms are just really nice looking in general. Wish I got the rest but I could only grab so many without a basket and the dude was on my ass behind me if I left to get a basket.

Providing USPS can do their job I have finally completed the 2018 Topps Museum Auto Set. Was able to obtain the final card in the wee early morning hours, Mike Trout /25 (sample photo below). 70 card set 69 card set because Giant dbag Buster Posey never sent his cards back.
what that cost you for the whole set? Prices must be coming back to earth or at least the Dominguez craze has cooled. I pulled a paper JD, and two chrome base cards and not one has bitten at $90 for all three.
Just to scratch the itch I picked up a $15 tin while grocery shopping today. Pulled a rainbow foil Lux rookie. Appears to sell for $30-50 on ebay ungraded and a BGS 9.5 just sold for $125

Tried to get in my first break via eBay last night. Was for 2 cases of contenders, going for cam akers. At the end I bid up to like 50 since it was 2 cases, didn't get it. It ended up selling for 57i think. I decided to check out the video of the break this morning, and no cam akers above like base.

What may be impossible to believe is that the same card sold for just $7,150 only four years ago.
Honestly that's part of the fun. I stumbled onto 3 Tom Brady rookie cards in the cards from when I was young this weekend. Sold them for $450.
Do USA cards hold any value? I have a Asa Lacy SP and a Robert Hassell auto from a box and debating if I should try to dump them tonight with some draft buzz or hold on and hope they pan out. Don't think either would get much either way. Hassell may get me $15 or so now, but Lacy SP is /249 so that's only a $1 or 2 card probably
I've been following this thread for a while now despite having not collected since I was a kid. I (unfortunately) found myself in a Walmart store earlier. Noticed there were 2 blaster boxes of 2020 Bowman on the shelf. Remembered that they have had some nice hits by some posters in this thread and so I bought them. Will open later tonight and hopefully will report back something positive.
... and as I look on ebay there are people trying to sell the same thing that I have for (in some instances) almost double the price that I paid.
Tore into the two boxes. Its a nice set, good design on the front. Managed a Jasson Dominguez Spanning The Globe insert amongst some other inserts of Dustin May and Adbert Alzolay. This was the only serial numbered card to speak of from the two boxes. Ian Anderson from Atlanta on what I guess is a 1990 Bowman refractor, blue back, numbered to 150. I'm definitely in over my head trying to identify these things lol. Spoiler
Hmmm I guess target restocking isn't a weekly thing. My "stocks on Thursday" target didn't have anything new. But i know theres usually new shit on thursday, just havent checked weekly in the past. Here's to next week!
