the technobabble they used during the big escape made up for the lack of it during this series, and then some
i mean more for the long term health of these shows. they aren't going to continue if no one in the u.s. is buying cbs's terrible service

So there are things in between the season called Short Trek. They are like little mini episodes. One came out last month and good god it was bad.
Decent start. Anson Mount as Pike was great. Looks like Tilly is going to go full I FUCKING LOVE SCIENCE, which is lame. Oh well. Cant say I'm super interested in this Burnham-Spock family thing so far Visually everything was awesome
pretty strong start to the season imo, even though the way they saved the planet was some ultra treknobabble. lots of stuff to suggest this story arc is about the Iconians, which is cool they seem to be determined to make Tilly as annoying as possible though i'm going to be sad when Pike has to leave
Tilly doesn't bother me at all but maybe that's just me. I've really enjoyed these first two episodes
The explanation for why he was floating around in the network was completely ridiculous but I'm with you. Good character, good actor so I'm fine with it
I'm glad they're finally embracing that Starfleet generally doesnt give a shit about the prime directive

There has been some absolutely god-fucking-awful lines this season, though I physically facepalmed when Tilly said "the power of math, people!" in one of the first episodes
Would love to see them beam Tilly to a planet and leave her there. Permanently. Tbh I’d love to see a spin off series of section 31.
Show can get way too overwhelming and this finale was just so incredibly hectic that I didnt find myself enjoying it. That being said season 3 being set 950 years in the future has me really fascinated
i still hate the way the crew talks to each other geordi would never in a million years say "get off my ass" to captain picard
finished the finale earlier i thought overall the season was kind of mediocre but i'm excited for future trek. i try not to nitpick about realism in a show like this but pike standing 10 yards away from a torpedo that obliterated 1/3 of the saucer section and coming away completely unscathed was dumb. also that episode looked expensive as hell
That episode was all over the place. Gonna miss having Pike on the show. I thought that season was much better than the first.
