Stephen King's The Stand on CBS

Loved the book and the miniseries or whatever it was

 

about halfway through the book. great timing by me.

 

It will be terrible because network TV

Now if HBO, Netflix, Amazon, or he'll even stars or AMC I'd check it out

 

The original was on network and it’s a top 5 miniseries ever

Damn. Sucks they had 4 days of shooting left before the 'rona shut them down.

I'm really interested to see King's new ending in this.

Agreed. With that said, the beginning of the novel was a slow start, so I’m hoping the show can gain some similar momentum.

With that said, the time hops were jarring and unnecessary, IMO.

 

About 25 minutes into the first episode, interesting update to the old series so far.

And yeah someone did just say fuck.

 

Like how they get around using a ouija board because of the trademark with hasbro thing

 

Shockingly, Amber Heard is amazing at playing a raging psychopath.

 

Is this supposed to be just 1 season? I’m losing interest but will see out the season. If it’s on going, I’m probably done.

 

Acting is somehow worse that the original. It's King though, so I will stick it out.
My understanding is its just 1 season.

 

It feels like it's wrapping up in one season, but I don't remember much about the original to compare where it's at in terms of story completion.

Have watched the first 4 episodes, this is much better than the 90s version

 

I watched it all. Was great until the very end

 

Completely destroys any suspense in the first half of the narrative arc, which is by far the best part of the book. Shambolic.
