#Boston College Eagles
No one. Literally no fans here.
wouldn't be surprised if he took a year off to go on a tour of dude ranches
He’s a good coach... a little shocked BC fire him....

hire immediately after we get our new HC. Make him OL and assistant HC
This is a good job
BC should be in the top 15-35 every year
Should be appealing to a lot of coaches
7 seasons never winning more than 7 games. I know it’s BC but it was time to move on
Seems like an idiotic decision. Maybe I'm wrong and someone comes in and they do better, but just feels like marginally better would be the ceiling. Small school in the Northeast, feel like 6-8 wins a year is a success.
He never won 8 games
Tom OBrien isn't walking through that door
Yeah I was saying that as a range. He had them bowl eligible often and I'm not sure they are going to do more than that year over year. As I said maybe I'm wrong but I don't see it.
I haven't had an irrational hate for any coach than I had for Tom O'Brien.
I suppose it's because you're in the weak Atlantic Division, but do you even Paul Johnson or Pat Narduzzi? Those guys are as hateable as they come.
from 2001 through 2009, the fewest games BC won was eight games. maybe things are different now with how much money is in CFB though. and i'm not sure if i agree with the firing considering they were decent.
you are wrong, the history of BC football is pretty strong
no reason for BC not to be an 8 win+ program every year
Your a Clemson fan obviously the size of the school makes no difference. It’s a small, fairly elite school in one of the richest areas of America, there’s a lot of appeal to a certain type of recruits.
I hated him before we were in the ACC. When he was at BC he talked down to the Big East immediately after they went into the ACC and we smashed him, after also smashing him for years in OOC matchups against him. When he was at NC State he talked down to us about playing a non-P5 team, we beat him when he was ranked and Steve Kragthorpe was our coach. He ran off Russell Wilson. NC State fans have to really hate this clown.
Stay away from OSU assistants.
Please take all the OSU assistants
They aren't recruiting Lax Bros
What is the "certain type of recruit" who would find BC appealing?
He sniffled a lot too. Don’t forget that!
white prep school kids with freckled calves and Bama bangs
Who was the LB BC had a while back that had cancer and then came back and maybe won the award for best LB? Had to be in like 07-08?
Ones who want an elite education
they had that really good punter
"BC should be top 15-35"
Guy was a phenomenal OL coach and a pretty damn good recruiter at UF, OC on the other hand...
would love to have him back splitting OL duties with Hevesy if Scott gets the USF job
Not an unreasonable take imo. It’s basically a backup school for ND
Talented catholic kids would love them some Boston
When you lose to Kansas at home 48-24, this is what you deserve
Definitely not in the "they should be top 15 every year" camp, but you could win there. I mean if they don't lose to shit Kansas this year you're already at 7 wins, and I don't see anyone in the Atlantic getting enormously better any time soon (pending FSU making a competent hire). The expectations are obviously pretty low considering how long they gave Addazio.
People are gonna laugh at this but it's spot on.
Go to a game there and out of all 10,000 people in the building 8,000 will look just like this.
They’re not in the-mainboard.com category
They've had their share of great players over the years but to call it a strong history seems like your dad and his friends might have went there or something. Because those are the kind of people who would call the history of Boston college football strong since no one else would know it offhand.
came to post this.
Assuming you are talking about the 2007 game with Kragthorpe - we were 1-3 going into that game and definitely not ranked.
I struggle with what I dislike the most about TOB. The Russell thing was very stupid obviously but I don't know that I've ever seen a coach give less effort on the recruiting trail.
Should hire Lance Leipold.
the ones passed over by Notre Dame
There are enough of those to maybe fill Stanford’s class, but that’s about it
