Maybe a hot take but I do not like a glass rimmed with seasoning at all. Perhaps I'm doing it wrong but it either is way overpowering if you get some of it or it serves no purpose if you're straw drinking because why not just add the seasoning to the entire drink
I don't really love tomato juice alone either. Bloodys are great though because you can add so many other things that the tomato is just a part instead of the entire show.
That's an analog to the difference between tomato juice and a bloody mary but i don't want to tell you what to like.
I will assume you because I don’t but thanks if it was you. The extra flavors of the bourbon is clutch.
We’re still talking about bloody Mary’s, right? Bloody Maria’s are fantastic. Bourbon just sounds a little...weird.
Try it with bourbon the extra spices in the bourbon is great compared to a flavorless vodka. I am not going to lie I doubted it too before I had one. A cheap Jim Beam or something similar would work.
Y'all are kind of blowing my mind right now...do these other liquors just completely replace the vodka? Or both?
It’s not for everybody but I love it. I tried gin, tequila, classic and bourbon. Only two I go with now are vodka and bourbon.
Jim beam is what I use too, don’t poor some good stuff in there. But I also use cheap vodka for bloodys
Just experimented with my bloody Mary recipe. I made collard greens earlier this week and saved the broth. It's such a good addition.
Just ordered these for tailgating on Saturday morning. No idea if they are any good, but I'm really intrigued by the wasabi ginger mix
Smoked oysters (out of the can) might be my new favorite accoutrement. Goes superbly well with a cube of sharp cheddar.
