Just finished. Holy shit, did I absolutely love this show. My main takeaway Spoiler TLAU, you're the worst
Fucking awesome Carpenter meets Spielberg Write a blank check for season 2 and give Winona all the awards
not like I came into a show thread saying it was shit... just didn't think it was the best thing ever. I was happy with where they took the last 3 episodes and will binge next year's.
Just giving you shit man. It did feel like you were being overly critical of certain aspects, but I don't really care.
Spoiler Why did emo put out the monster on fire with the extinguisher while it was still alive? Big fan of Steve coming back with the save swinging that club since Emo locked up and choked
I was viewing that as a writer error. Maybe it felt right for the scene but us viewers were like wtf?
Just watched the 8 minute spoiler. 80s John Carpenter nostalgia horror? I'm in. See you guys on the other side.
Can't say enough about those kids as actors. They absolutely made the show. I do think there's plenty of room for a good season two. Spoiler Will may now have the ability to switch back and forth between worlds. Maybe he developed some 11 like qualities? Hopper was obviously leaving the food for 11, so the next season is trying to get her back.
Last time I went searching for information on a show, some fucking shit site ruined the final season(Penny Dreadful). Can someone give me a brief overview? Seems overwhelming opinion is really positive, so the wife and I may start bringing it this evening.
Group of nerdy kids in the 80s has one of their friends disappear via some supernatural shit. Goonies + Stephen King+ all the good/fun tropes 80s movies
just finished tonight. that was fucking awesome. i know it's been said ad nauseum, but the kids were amazing.
Spoiler One of the Stranger Things about the show for me was the way nobody really acknowledges that the "gates" actually exist in multiple places. You would think once everyone is finally together discussing the situation and sharing their respective experiences that the point would come up. lol at the bad men making visual contact with the kids and then climbing back into the vans to chase them on their bikes 11's refusal to levitate the Millennium Falcon was precious.
It only looked like the creature could open and close those new gates. At Winnona's house and in the woods and at the school
I get that, but still you'd think it would at least be a point of conversation for different people interested in making it to the "upside down".
re: soundtrack the composers are responsible for "SURVIVE" from Austin http://survive.bandcamp.com/ https://soundcloud.com/s-u-r-v-i-v-e
Finished last night Spoiler -Poor Barb. That's what you get for cock blocking though. Found it interesting that not much was made in the community about her disappearance. I guess folks thought she ran away, plus everyone was more focused on finding the younger Will -Hopper's my guy. Didn't think that would be the case as I watched him smoke a heater w/ his pants unzipped in a hungover stupor in Ep1 -They nailed the soundtrack/wardrobe. I spied some Cortez's, Adidas Rom's, Saucony's, and the Lacoste polo on our favorite douchebro Steve -Brings us back to a simpler time, but the shit's a lot heavier than ET or Goonies, which I appreciated -Eleven better not be dead, Hopper leaving the Eggo's has me encouraged
I was in love with her (after googling her age of course) during the course of the show. Then google image ruined her because of all the "Is she anorexic" horrible pictures out there of angles and shit. She's gorgeous in the face though. Need you to get her on your meal plan
