..... The picture shows the screwdriver opening the lid of the can, the plastic lid. Not jamming it into the base and breaking the can open.....
yea, I think she did it wrong. But it's a really poor design to say "insert screwdriver in slot" then give multiple "slot" options. Logically, my maleness tells me what I should be doing, and it's not prying apart the can. However, wives and girlfriends.....
I've opened hundreds of spray paint cans through the years and never once did it occur to me that someone could fuck it up that badly.
when she told me she got paint in the house, my first thought was that it was over spray, and I was pissed, why would you spray paint in the house??? Then when she described it more, and I was pretty sure she had torn the nozzle off when she took the cap off. Finally I saw what she did, and it seemed pretty reasonable compared to what I expected.
Leaving her nice clothes on the floor of her closet with the door open and then getting furious when the puppy finds her way in there and tries to play with them and inevitably ruins them. This one is my Groundhog Day.
It was amazing the amount of times we had to discuss/I had to break down how the time change would impact sleep and what time our kids would likely wake up yesterday.
my kids all nap from 1-3. My wife decided to schedule family picture day (few things I hate more) from 10:30-12 yesterday and couldn’t figure out why the kids were having such meltdowns. I had to point out it was basically 11:30-1 for them. It was such a shit show towards the end that the photographer goes, “you’re taking this quite well. My husband would be on the verge of domestic violence at this point”.
we did our photos at 8:00 AM last week to avoid a storm coming in the afternoon and the kids could not have acted better. definitely recommend an early AM shoot if you have toddlers.
Fiance loses her license/CC all the time. I just don't get why she constantly puts just them in her scrubs pockets or coat pockets. PUT THEM IN A WALLET OR SOMETHING!
She lost it (this time) while shopping at a strip mall. Left her phone number at last place she was at and was confident they would call her back and reassured me she had been checking our transactions online and nothing looked suspicious. Today within 5 minutes I found her card and texted her so. She calls all happy and then said "well I guess they were never going to call me they found it" No dear I called the shops on both sides and the manager of one of those found it in parking lot (also was last store she actually used card, she just assumed she lost it in last store she was actually in)
Thank you for signing the form, we will get started on the inspection of the can immediately. The inspection of the can is needed to document and confirm the cause of the puncture and leakage, as well as confirm or eliminate a manufacturing defect as the cause or factor leading to the puncture. If no manufactured defect is present, the puncture would be established as user error. I do want to assist with the cleanup as a goodwill gesture, and the offer of additional cleaning supplies, and reimbursement for the Goo Gone and paint still stands. I would first recommend attempting to gently remove the paint splattered on the wall using a scrub pad and soap and water. It is often the case that splattered paint dries quickly in the air before landing on the surface, and it may not be firmly adhered. A product such as our Krud Kutter Original can be used to spot clean a surface like this in most cases. Thank you, Kevin Fisher Team Lead, Product Support Rust-Oleum
We leave tomorrow for Texas for a wedding. My wife’s brother is getting married and we’ve known roughly for a year the date, location, etc. Wife has had to work the last 6 days due to impending travel and she is off today to get everything ready. We also have a 6 month old, first travel adventure with her. Michigan has their first “snowstorm” this morning. Not terrible, but it’s snowing somewhat hard. Her: I am heading to the outlets, need anything? Me: Naw, I am good. What do you need there? I thought you were doing (lists the stuff she told me last night.) Her: I am going to look for a dress for the wedding. Me: What? You don’t have a dress the day before we leave for an out of town wedding that you have known about for 8 months? Her: No, I don’t think so. So my wife is driving an hour each way with our 6 month in a semi-hazardous snow storm to find a dress the day before we leave, despite getting 4-6 dresses sent to our house especially designated for the wedding over the past few months. She will also not get to the stuff she was supposed to, meaning I will have to when I get home from work tonight. Awesome.
My wife uses "Rent the Runway" for a lot of wedding parties. Which is basically a dress rental service. It saves us a lot of money and she has gotten some good items on there. They send you pre labeled UPS return package so you can just drop it off in a UPS box the day after the event and it's really pretty easy. Well one awesome thing my wife did was drop it off in a FEDEX box. so after a week of it not showing up at Rent the Runway, they hit us with a $50 late fee and wanted to know where it was. Eventually it was deduced that she put the dress in the wrong box and we were on the hook for the dress, but since they are a rental company, we were facing a $1000 charge for not returning it. So guess who traveled to multiple Fedex distribution hub to track down this package?? After 2-3 trips with no luck, my wife eventually went in there and the dress was sitting at the front desk all dusty and looked like shit. Thankfully we were able to return it after a month and only got hit with like an extra $100 or so.
Sorry to interrupt your Rent a Runway pitch but just how long after the dress went missing did she go back to look for it
I was at one of the distribution hubs the day she got an email saying it was missing. which was actually about a week after it was dropped in the wrong box. I went to the other hub the day after. She went through several days of calling the hub and talking to customer service at both Fedex and Rent the Runway. Eventually she just went up there in tears and begged to look around and it was sitting there right next to the dude who told her it wasn't there. the guy could not have given less of a shit about it.
After the flea market and honey moon, I was told that it is indeed now time to start saving money. Followed by the text today that we should take our son to Memphis for the weekend in December to see the Christmas lights. I reminded her that she told me that we needed to start saving money. Now I am a debbie downer and make her feel as though she spends too much money. I'm the asshole.
It's money money we use for things like that. Basically a monthly stipend check I get from work goes to things like that. But we had decided we were going to start putting it in savings. I guess not now.
oh indeed. I am fully prepared for my wife to go dress shopping tomorrow or friday for the wedding we have this weekend.
I once texted my wife two and a half hours before a wedding and she was dress shopping (I was doing groomsmen stuff). She somehow made it on time though.
Lady Pokes loves to “buy” huge amounts of clothing online and then send back the 90% that doesn’t fit or look good via the website’s free return policy. Half the time the return label is just a QR code with no carrier info on it, and she routinely sends me to UPS when it needs to go FedEx and vice versa. Always an enjoyable experience to stand there with a blank look on my face while the clerk explains to me for the umpteenth time that they’re separate companies. They legitimately might think I’m special needs at this point.
Wife does Stitch Fix and they provide a USPS bag and mailing label to return clothes in. Just have to schedule a pickup on USPS's website and the postal worker picks it off the porch. It's an annoying use of money since she has a lot of clothes already and doesn't wear the new stuff, but at least the return process is easy.
