All week I have had to listen to PTA drama and gossip. Apparently they set up an online voting system with no restrictions on how many times you vote. A group of 3-5 women voted repeatedly to prevent someone from winning. Instead of voting repeatedly for people they wanted to win, they just voted for the first two names on the ballot. Now it's a huge "crisis" with the "integrity of the PTA" on the line.

So I have a story for you guys that I feel is perfect for this thread. About a month ago, my buddy Brian ended things with his longtime GF because she discovered photos from a friend's bachelor party (They went to a stripper club) that happen two years ago. This chick is a former pageant girl who thinks the world revolves around her . So pageant girl took it upon herself to confront my friend Sam about the photos and then asked if his wife knew that they went to a strip club. Stupiditly Sam tried to broker a deal with pageant girl about the entire deal and she promised not to tell his wife if he told her (Sam's wife is currently in the Caribbean Islands for Vet School). Sam immediately told his wife that they went to a strip club in New Orleans for his bachelor trip. His wife seemed fairly okay with it. About a day after that, pageant girl skypes Sam's wife and asked if they had a conversation about this entire deal. Sam's wife says that they talked and everything was ok. Pageant girl then says "Well did Sam show you all the photos" and then proceeds to upload every photo to her (We are talking about 40-60 photos btw). Sam's wife goes into a rage as expected. She then contacts Connor (Sam's best friend & best man in his wedding) and proceeds to berate him via facebook message for about 24 hrs. She then stops message him and contacts Connor's GF about the situation. Connor's GF replies "Connor told me about this two years ago and I have no problem with it". Sam's wife then ask her "Have you seen the photos?". She replies "No I haven't and I don't want to". Sam's wife then proceeds to describe every photo that Connor is featured in full detail. So by last weekend everyone in our friends group knew about all of this. So in our tailgate chat one of our buddies makes an offhand comment of "Well for my bachelor party we'll have double the amount of strippers and everyone will leave their phones in a bowl". Around 20 minutes later, Sam's wife sends him a screenshot of that comment. That's right folks. Sam's wife openly admitted to hacking/watching his iMessage chats via the Verizon iCloud. Nevertheless, this entire situation has be fairly interesting to watch from the sidelines. So I thought I'd share with y'all.

I thought about not sharing this story. But given how entertaining this has become I will. So before "Strippers in the iCloud" situation. I flew down to the Caribbean with Sam around June/July of this year. We get on the island and immedately Sam's wife is asking "What do y'all want to do tomorrow night. My friends are going to this festival thats in the downtown area". Sam replies "I want to show Ivan the tiki bar strip/food truck area". Sam's wife immediately tries to shoot this entire situation down. So the next day, it's the same deal "My friends are going here. I don't know anyone who's going to the tiki bar area". Later that evening, we pick up one of cohorts and go to dinner. On the ride back, Sam's wife and her friend start talking about a girl who decided to go out on the island alone (This is mostly a 3rd world country) and ended up getting sexually assualted by multiple dudes. In a round about way, they said it was completely her fault and that she shouldn't have been allowed to go back home and still take her finals in the program. I got tired of the conversation and said "Y'all are kind of messed up for saying that about this girl". Her friend gave me this stare for a few minutes and immediately said "I don't feel to well can y'all take me home". So we drove her back to her condo. We drop off this chick and Sam says "I want to take Ivan by the strip. Even if it's for a short part of the night". So as soon as we get to this area. She immediately goes "i'm not going to know anyone here" (Five minutes later six people run up and hug her). We get a round of drinks and i think everything is going normal. That's when I notice Sam's wife has pulled him aside and they are talking privately. He then comes up to me and says "Finish your beer. We're going to go to this festival now". So we leave the bar and go back to her condo for her to change clothes. Then we order a taxi and pick up the friend who was "sick" before. I also want to mention that neither Sam or I have an international plan. So anytime we are without wifi. We don't have service. So we arrive at this festival and grab a round of drinks. This is a round midnight. Immediately Sam's wife and her friend race into the crowd at his concert/festival deal. I'm not exaggarating when I didn't see Sam's wife until 4:30am. She basically ditched us after traveling 7+ hrs and all the other bullshit. Her and her friend finally appeared from the crowd and she's says "The next show doesn't start until 515am". At this point, I'm fucking annoyed because I've traveled all this way to basically do what someone else wife wants them to do. Not to mention, I've nearly been pickpocketed twice by some locals. So I make the comment "Hey, can we just head home. I'm super tired and it's nearly 5am in the morning at this point". She shoots me a look and says "Sure". So the next day, I don't hear from them until two in the afternoon (We are at the same resort but in different rooms). Sam texts me and ask if I want to get some food by the pool. Then he sends me a text saying "We need to talk about what happen earlier this morning". We meet up and he's like "I don't think you did/said anything wrong. But the girls said that you were an asshole last night. So can you apologize because this is my wife and it will just make things smoother". I look at him like with the "What on earth are you talking about" look. So Sam's wife comes out and I tell her "I think you might be confused what happen earlier today. I was tired and ready to go to bed at that point. Sorry if you took that the wrong way". She replies "Oh I just thought y'all weren't having a good time". I replied "Nah thats not the case. I'm glad we figured this whole deal out" So the trip goes on. We got on a catamaran trip, fishing and everything seems chill. Two days after we get back I receive this text message from Sam. "Hey dude, i'm messaging you to let you know that my wife and I still have some issues with the past weekend and its causing us quite a bit of problems in our relationship. She isn't happy with the way you spoke to her Friday night and feels it was very disrespectful. We paid for the cat trip for you and she said that you didn't reimburse her for that or offer. I know you spoke to her birefly but she felt it wasn't sincere and there wasn't a specific apology. We've spent a lot of time together, and i know you're a good dude, and i'd prefer not have major tension between us, or even worse lose a friend. I need you to talk to her and figure this out. Email, text, letter, phone call, don't care. if you want to preserve our friendship please contact her". I just started laughing when this text was sent to me for multiple reasons. First, I had seen Sam twice since we had returned from the trip and he gave no clue that this was an issue. Second, this was clearly one of those text where he was coached on the things that needed to be said by his wife. Along with the fact, that me and him had an agreement that I would pay him for the cat trip once we got back to the states because he didn't want me to get hit with a service charge for repeatedly pulling out money in another country. In the end, I messaged her saying "That I had apologized once for what happen and I thought it was sincere enough given the situation at hand." I pointed out that the entire conversation about the girl who was taking her finals back stateside because of being raped by some locals was extremely fucked up and I got tired of hearing about it. Not to mention, she ditched us on a foreign island for a handful of hours. I also paid him the $60 immediately after getting that text. To this day, she has never responded to my text. Sorry for the very long message. But this is the kind of story that every detail needs to be included. Otherwise you don't get the full picture of the situation.
I don't typically place bets on marriages. But as soon as she returns to the states to do her residency. I expect never to see this dude again. Unfortunately. Also, still no luck on the photos being sent.
