Then stop bringing it up. Hold it until the final season. The constant Luis / Harvey shit is starting to wear thin too.

That would be great if it wasn't one of the central plot points of the show. So I just LOL at you guys who expect that story to go away. Personally, I'd love for the show to end with Mike getting found out and going to jail and Harvey falls on the sword for Jessica and gets disbarred.

I figured this premise would get old quick but the other storylines, the dialogue, and of course Rachel's ass and Donna's tits keep me entertained.

The premise of the show originally was for mike to be the focal point of the entire series. Then episodes started airing and everyone thought Harvey was 10x more entertaining than mike. If they had stuck with the original premise of the show, it would not have made it past season 3

Mike will always run into people that know him from the past and that he attending Harvard never happened.

This is true. Which means it makes no sense why Mike and Rachel didn't understand why he couldn't become a Jr partner.

Mike should honestly take night classes to get his law degree. They've obviously waived the Harvard requirement for Rachel. Unless the show will end with Harvey and Mike behind bars, it seems dumb to continue this plot point.

My biggest complaint is that Mike could have a law degree by now. Hell, even a bullshit carribean one by now.

He could, but it's not going to protect him or the firm legally. He's been getting paid as an attorney by the firm since he started. If he got his law degree any time afterward, he was still acting as a lawyer without one up until that point.

Honestly, if he did get his law degree now, it would probably be more dangerous to him and the firm, because it would draw unwanted attention and create even more damaging paperwork.

and no fucking way it will we all know this. i agree that they should drop it.

One thing i dont understand: he is in the database as a grad that should be enough when you meet someone who is like "oh we fucked 8 years ago when you where a bike messenger" why would it be ridiculous to have gotten a law degree after?

Wasn't a fan of that episode.

"You are ruining my dream wedding" Her mom was annoying as fuck too.
The master plan was to hurt the other partners so they turn on Jessica. How does stealing the client associated with Harvey, Mike, and Louis accomplish that? 1 investor even a billionaire buying up all the clients of a top NYC law firm to cripple them doesn't seem realistic in the least.

I liked the Trevor scene just because they didn't make up.

55 minutes of what felt kind of 'ho-hum' to me all to set up some game changing haymakers in those final five minutes.

If the writers don't pull a lame bait and switch and Mike's secret is really out, then where does the show go from here? It's not like there is any possible defense for what he has done.

With Harvey leaving as well, maybe we see a time jump next season to when Mike gets out of prison?

I wonder what ridiculous idea the writers come up with to get everything back to status quo by the end of the season.

Honestly, Mike giving it up for good bc he doesn't want it hanging over his future family and Harvey quitting to save the firm/Jessica would've been a good series finale.

Next season will deal with Harvey defending Mike, getting him off. Then Harvey pays for Mike to go to law school, secretly, and Mike comes back to the firm at his normal position.

Is Mike going to law school and correcting this a possibility? What kind of legal issues are they looking at with this fraud? I would think everyone involved would be disbarred.

also, i'm glad the 3 of them finally "lost" a fight and everything isn't right back to status quo. and i hope they don't do something stupid that gets everything back to normal. the show is 4.5 seasons in, its about time they actually shake it up (and have it stick).

We don't know that Mike's secret is out. All the agent said was he was under arrest for conspiracy to commit fraud. His co-conspirators for the fraud that we all know about were presumably in the office and not arrested. My guess is that it's for something else.

If he is in fact being arrested for posing as a lawyer, then no correcting it wouldn't be a possibility but this show doesn't deal with legitimate matters of the legal system, so I can see how it might play out like that.

I'm sure Harvey will come back. And Mike can't just rot in jail for the rest of the show so trying to think of what type of other fraud he has done on this show they could be coming after him for.

I might finally give up on this show if the fraud arrest is a red herring. I'm not ruling it out, but it would be incredibly cheap and pretty much ruin the show to any viewer with a working brain.

To be frank, if Mike's deception had really been brought to life, then he is done practicing law for the rest of his life. Due to the extent of his fraud, he would serve time in jail, and he would never be able to practice law again during his life.

Again, I think a time jump of several years into next season is necessary to make the series interesting and reinvigorate several storylines

They really did a flashback episode for the finale, fuck off.

  26. Bulworth

The Fraud charge could have something to do with his work as an investment banker for Sidwell. Maybe Forstman framed him for something?

They really do have some odd timing with the flashback episodes, thats for sure.

I enjoyed the finale a lot. Hardman doesn't get enough credit for being a great "villain lawyer" for this show.

Also, the wife and I have started fast-forwarding through all Mike + Rachel scenes. Just brutal. They completely destroyed Rachel's character the last couple seasons. Mike isn't far behind.

Although a drinking game involving whenever Rachel says something along the lines of

"I don't mean to pry, but"
"I'm not trying to get involved, but"
"It's none of my business, but"

would get everyone pretty dizzy drunk.

This is an important season for the show. I feel like it's hanging in the balance between dipping into the same wells one too many times and losing everyone's interest, and introducing fresh storylines to resuscitate the characters.

yea, they are definitely in danger of going to the well one too many times. How many Mike is a fraud and Daniel Hardmon hostile takeover storylines are they going to throw at us before it gets stale.

Mike was just named the youngest junior partner in the firm's history even w/o a press release something like that travels around. She hears about it becomes curious about what kind of student he was; can't find his file & boom.

Not happening. The showrunners have decided to make the person who turned in Mike be a focus of this part of the season. It will not be a new character.

Like others, my vote is for Sheila Sazs.

It would make sense, and also create some conflict for Louis.

  45. Bulworth

    Bulworth Obscenity?

Did you read that or just your supposition of what will happen?

Because they're basically following the Suits playbook so far: Go through all the old favorites and foreshadow that it's someone they know and then swerve, it's a new guy like Forstman, or Woodall, or Cahill and so on and so forth.

The USA website for the show had voting available for who turned in Mike during the offseason. They made a huge deal about it.

The writers have made some awful decisions in the past, but I seriously doubt the network would have jumped on board with voting in regards to which known character turned in Mike if they were going to make it an unknown.
