Well, you just have to figure if living in Saudi for a few years, which is going to suck, is worth all the money you’ll have later
Bummed by this because Ait-Nouri is so fun to watch with the ball. He’s also very maddening to watch without it, but the potential is absurd if everything clicks. I would think there will be a 45-50 mil fee associated with the move at a minimum, or else it doesn’t make sense. Wolves now having to replace its two most dynamic players (by a mile) is going to be a challenge.
i think the talksport guy reporting it is pretty tied in with Fulham so may have a legit source on Mitro
The rumor in Fulham circles was that Everton and West Ham were the ones in the running, but when I went to BlueSky to get a list I could only find references to Utd interest
Lmao what?! Bryan Mbeumo has decided he wants to join Manchester United. Exclusive story from @david-ornstein.bsky.social ⤵️— The Athletic | Football (@theathleticfc.bsky.social) 2025-06-02T19:11:43.245Z
Really curious where broke boi Jim is going to get this cash from. Guessing there will be more cuts to the workforce
several reports that even before sells United would have a 125m budget. Cunha plus Mbeumo is well under that.... United scored 44 PL goals last year they scored 35
Candidly I’m surprised there is that big of a budget available based on all the writing since the takeover. Also not sure how much Mbuemo fits into what Amorim is doing tactically but I’m just a dumb America shootin the shit.
correct me if I'm wrong, but those two positions were previously taken by the only two players worth a shit this past season, right? (Bruno & Amad)
Well I'd guess the books aren't great I'd take everything you've read with a handful of salt I'm not sure how Cunha does either hell I'm not sure how anyone does but Im happy to see their signing instead of Hojlund and Zirkzee(though I still have little hope for Zirkzee) and a keeper and maybe some midfield and CB help too
Bruno is going to Saudi but no he did not play there Amad can play the right wingback in the 4 like he did against West Ham on May 11th
Bruno definitely played a large chunk of the games in that attacking mid role. didn't realize he was going to Saudi though.
I guess if you move the goalpost to...did Bruno play some games in the front 3 last year...yea he did out of necessity. Tho he had not played in the front 3 since a europa league match against Athletic Club. But thats not where Amorim would want him in an ideal world, esp if Cunha and Mbuemo are in the squad. https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/63...ter-united-bruno-fernandes-transfer-analysis/ https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/63...er-united-transfers-bruno-fernandes-al-hilal/
If Bruno didn’t play as an attacking mid why was there such a big deal made about him playing “back” next to Casameiro in the final while Mount was advanced?
Is there a chance he’d reject? Feels like most the time if clubs are bidding, they think a deal can be made?
That’s why I’m asking about the phrasing…. Curious if Saudi is wasting time or if Theo’s ego would accept it.
I think so... I believe he was asking for about 16m per year from Milan (before taxes) and its believed the Saudi club is offering 20m. He doesn't have any suitors in Europe, Juve said no, Real said no and I think he's off to the Saudi club once wages are agreed upon. I think Europe is telling his ego this is his only legit move at the wages he wants.
