King shit from Jesse but I agree with Truman that I don’t like it’s a surprise who has an idol. I thought the whole time Cody still had it after he asked for it back
I would have loved to see Cody start freaking out and saying that it was his idol and he can’t play it. Just to see what happened.
Its Jesse’s idol by the rules. If you freely hand over possession, it’s not yours. Only way it’s Cody’s in that situation is if Jesse went into his bag a stole it or something
The show is honestly in a great groove when it comes to casting. Less petty drama and more excellent game play have led to some extremely entertaining seasons.
Not sure if this is a spoiler, or if they will show/talk about how Jessie got the idol back, but he apparently Spoiler he spooked Cody by telling him he thought Karla might have a knowledge is power and would try to steal the idol from him. He never asked for it back, but Cody got nervous last minute and handed to him before tribal. Per an interview with Cody.
Fantastic season. Deserving winner and holy shit at gabler donating it all. Major props to gabler saving that secret until after he won.
I was really worried Gabler was gonna use that he was donating it during the final tribal which would be BS, but what a guy to not use that to his advantage and then tell everyone after.
Cassidy should’ve won between those three. Jury just fell in love with his answers during the final, and he did kill it. Kind of sucks but I guess that part counts too.
Probably one of the better final tribal arguments ever. Incredible job by Gabler. You can tell he's in sales.
I think the show found something with putting a bunch of people in sales on the cast. Gabler, Jesse, and Cody absolutely crushed it this season both in terms of gameplay and entertainment value.
He always talks how he sits through high pressure surgeries but never says he’s a doctor. I forget what exactly they say his profession is when they have his name graphic during confessionals. Just putting two and two together - I think he’s in medical device sales. They sit through surgeries w the surgeons to walk them through product uses and shit if they need to.
Probably the best after show ever. Everyone was so happy and engaging and none of the petty stuff lingered. Largely due to Gabler's grand gesture and the way he included all of them in the final outcome. No one looked at him and thought "That guy got my million dollars." He truly made them feel like they all contributed to a greater cause.
I don’t watch many competition shows. Just this and the challenge. One of the things I love about the show is almost all the contestants appreciate the game play. Rarely is anyone petty or a bitch about blind sides ect. They all seem pretty happy for each other.
Like, I will say, like Jesse, like, kinda like got on my nerves, like whenever he like, had to talk for more than like, two sentences.
Just binged. Really good season overall. Glad Gabler won. Really badass he donated it all. Owen did nothing but win a few immunities and he knew it but tried his best. Kody was probably my favorite. Funny and a great player. Got blindsided and didn't take it personally. Jesse also played a great game and pulled the greatest move he immediately had a target on his back. Was reading on Reddit that apparently Karla made sure to downplay Cass's moves to the Jury. But it also didn't help that when Cass tried to talk about her biggest moves it was someone else's moves. And didn't seem to admit she made mistakes.
I thought Karla came off really bad in the last episode. Nothing worse than the person who holds a grudge because someone wouldn’t do what they want.
My wife and I just finished after binging this past week. These past 2 seasons have left me really irritated about who won. Mary Ann sucked and Gabler did nothing for me. I was surprised Cassidy even put Gabler in fire because I thought he was a lay up.
We all thought he was a layup until he CRUSHED tribal council. An absolute clinic on how to sway votes. Outwit is a legit part of the game.
Those people just spent 24 days watching him do fuck all riding coattails. If they can be swayed by a final tribal that much then they’re all morons.
The Australian version has been fantastic this season. It’s on 3 times a week here so you see so much more than the current US version. Not as many advantages. It’s pretty much just idols. More pure version.
I get the appeal of seeing them have more convos and get more context - but 3 times a week is so much TV to keep up with
They run it Sunday, Monday & Tuesday nights here so there isn’t much else happening on those nights. Tribal each episode. Id be keen to see an Aussie vs US survivor all stars at some stage. They have Sandra’s daughter Nina playing this season.
I'm not sure they didn't screw up the occupation for that lady. Pretty sure she's in counseling for drugs not a drug counselor
Best first ep ever? Usually you dont that kind of chaos. Also feels like there are a shitload of engineer/data/scientists types this season
I said the same thing about the professions last night. Either data, engineer hair salon owner/ worker.
Bruce almost domed his head on the first under obstacle, too. Gotta play hard but smart. Barbershop Matt practically ending his game with some rock climbing was even more dumb.
Wish they could get away from the Superfans on the show, someone practicing that challenge at home is fucking lame.
I was coming in to say the same. Super fans are cool when they can recall stuff from other seasons in the moment that help them. Or can get super excited about doing stuff they’ve grown up watching. But 3-D printing all the puzzles to practice violates the spirit of the show imo. Definitely lame
Was the kid trying to build his resume in week two? Odd choice to run with the two people who aren't emotionally equipped to navigate the game.
