My live extra is shit right now. It keeps coming in and out. I saw the goal and the two yellows, but I probably missed half of that half with the feed buffering.
I was able to see all of the goals, but it wasn't wry long after Ayew scored that the feed shut down. I saw that Britts got in. That's cool.
Yeah nice to see Leon play. We really didn't attack most of the second half after that Ayew goal. Couldn't ask for a better start, need to beat Sunderland next Saturday for a bit match against ManU.
Botti Biabi is coming to the Swans per Falkirk and Swansea media. I'm guessing he will go to the U21's.
Yeah. There's no room for him with the seniors right now. Also, he wasn't even starting at his old club. Building for the future is nice, though.
Britton is going to stay. That's good. I hope it doesn't interfere with Grimes and Fulton getting more playing time, though.
Lee Cattermole on facing the Swans: “We can’t be naive and we can’t go out all guns blazing from the start because Swansea have shown that they are a top side in this league." It's weird to see people say things like that.
Team stays the same as last week. I can't believe Tabanou can't even make the squad when some expected him to overtake Taylor. I'm sure we will see some Tabanou and others this week with York City.
Taylor was always going to have the advantage and he's been solid in defense and more aggressive about getting forward early on here. There will be injuries and times guys need a rest, plus these cup games as a chance to show he deserves more time. Mostly, I think people don't think of Swansea as a team that brings in quality players to be backups.
Agree 100% I mainly meant it as a compliment to Taylor. He has been class and hasn't made the same frustrating mistakes he made many times last year. Tabanou will get his chance, we are only at game 3. Excited that Monk is happy with his full squad and nobody is for sale and he made the point that he has us where he wants us and no amount of money will make up for that. Basically said it would be criminal if we sold Montero or anyone else.
This will be an interesting match. Sunderland is reeling but they are at home and needing a result. We will have to be on form.
Yeah, we can't relax and think we've got this. I expect Sunderland to come out quick and have a strong first 20 min or so. If we can weather that, I think we'll be fine.
I can't figure out what's going on with Gylfi. I mean we don't need as much as we did from him as we did last year but we really need him involved.
Different players but Gomis and Gylfi need to play as Bony and Gylfi did. Let Gylfi set Gomis up for the easy goals and set him up in the box. Like I said different players, seems like Gomis does better with a slight run into the box where Bony could take it and flick it in from anywhere in the box at a stationary position.
Capital One Cup game v York tomorrow afternoon. Sucks that NBC doesn't have the broadcast rights to this. Hopefully an easy win for the backups.
3-0 win over York City with goals from Grimes, Emnes and Dyer. Britton got the full 90 and the armband.
Trickier yes for sure. Should we dominate, very much so. They needed penalties to get past Accrington Stanley in round one, only scored 1 against Rochdale and lost to Charlton Athletic and drew against Wolves in league play but also beat Fulham. They can certainly beat us but even without strengthening today's side any I think we would win. On the road sucks though.
If we win tomorrow, we will move into a top4 spot with traditional powers Crystal Palace and Leicester.
I'm not sure what to expect tomorrow. Know we can win though just need a good performance. Utd. has played well this year.
No Montero due to a tweak in his thigh. That is worrisome. Routledge will start in his place and that is the only change. Tabanou made the squad today as well, may get his first premier league run out.
Not a bad half, not a good half just kind of meh. We miss Montero outside. Gylfi still isn't creating as much as last year. Bafe playing well, Shelvey has been quiet.
Bony and Bafé are different types of strikers. Bony was always trying to create the perfect scoring chance including setting up someone else. Bafé is always looking to score. Both can work, but Gylfi does seem to work better with Bony than Bafé.
