From the article, still blows my mind:
My girl could hit up OF and make 40 mil a year
She could just post her normal modeling type pics on there and be swimming in pools of cash
idk what her publicist is thinking with this ‘I was such an underdog’ media tour
I have no clue how much she makes and started off the article on her side. I’m thinking, “Well, yeah, $200k/yr isn’t much in LA when you’re a name brand actress.”
Then I see she bought a $3M home in the Hollywood Hills and am all, “Fuck that noise.”
She makes enough money to live an extremely good life one better than at least 90% of the world’s population. She probably just doesn’t make the type of money she thought she’d make. Cry me a fucking river. Rich people crying about not being rich enough will always make me laugh.
Don't know what the tax rates are like in CA, but what she made from three episodes of Euphoria after taxes ($75K before taxes) is likely much more than what I make in a whole fucking year, so she can fuck right off with this struggling to survive bullshit.
I'd gladly give her my 100k annually to build a life with her. Minus the alimony and child support I would owe
I did laugh at the "I'm basically forced to take a gig as the face of Armani". Like OMG, ew cringe
Come to Houston. I will take care of you.
The horror at 24 years old not to be able to stop working for half a year
i figured she grew up pretty well off. rod emory a big time porsche restorer let her use his shop to rebuild her Bronco. he posted about how her parents are his neighbors and friends.
If I was rebuilding a 1987 trans am, I'd post the same stuff
Was she semi famous at that time?
it was last september
So I guess yes and some free pub for him
Gotta keep that multi mill mansion
She is hot out of touch young celebrity.
I’m willing to be the guy to help her mature
Not trying to cover for her, but could you imagine having a 15k mortgage at 24 and in a pretty highly unstable industry where you don't know what your next job is? That shits gotta be stressful.
She's not right & def doesn't live in the world 99% of ppl do.
Step one: don’t end up with a $15k mortgage.
I mean, yeah...but that's pretty "modest" for a house in that area.
Whole lot of finger wagging from broke perverts in here and not enough pics
Live somewhere else then. That’s fucking lunacy taking on a $15k mortgage.
I mean, she can't just live in Oklahoma. Not like NYC is any cheaper.
Not like real estate isn't a good investment
there are plenty of places in LA where she could live on a third of that mortgage. I also am shocked she didn’t buy the house outright. I’m not going to cry over someone not being able to afford a 15k mortgage.
imagine saying she should have only spent 1-1.5 million
She could try, there's a house on my street for sale right now
Isn’t the average price of a house in LA like 1 mil?
She looks terrible for this interview but I would be pretty surprised to find out any famous actor was living in an average house
Pretty frustrating to see a bump that could contain a new angle only to read a lecture on fiscal responsibility.
Or get a roommate (me).
She can't even afford alo or lulu, hope she can pull through
Rich people use IO loans. Her monthly nut is probably around 7k with taxes and ins.
If she would stop buying Starbucks and avocado toast she would be able to afford that $15k a month mortgage.
Just imagine how much better of a kitchen she could get in Oklahoma
I just threw a number out there.
I don't know what her mortgage payment actually is
Sydney Sweeney: finger-wagging from broke perverts
Hey. I'm not broke
Reminds me of a article I read that took a survey of millionaires and like 50% of them considered themselves middle class. It’s ridiculous but not surprising how out of touch people can be. Especially in LA or Hollywood. You constantly compare yourself those with a higher status or have more expensive things. She’s not the first hot out of touch actress.
Being a millionaire and living a modest, middle-class life is not uncommon.
Million-dollar net worth doesn't mean you make a million a year or have a million-dollar house (or any other ostentatious display of wealth.) It also isn't some magical indicator that you can stop working or living frugally.
It's also not middle class, which us the massive point
It’s also relative to where you live. A million dollars is far different in San Francisco than it is in South Bend.
The person that lives here probably views themselves as “middle class”
Disagree. The two are far from mutually exclusive.
I find it more outrageous that she has the same amount of Emmy nominations as Rhea Seehorn.
The median networth is 120k.
If you have a million dollar net worth you are in the top ~7% of all Americans.
That's not middle class.
it really depends “LA” is huge she could definitely find a nice place in a nice area for 1-1.5 million. She is 24 she could have bought a great Condo for that. I don’t want derail the thread more. She is young hot and out of touch with reality because she isn’t making what she wanted to make. Buying a 3 million dollar home then crying about not being able to afford is beyond ridiculous.
If middle-class is solely a function of net worth, than I am wrong and you are right.
