I mean he has met her, but outside of that why the hell would he care. We should probably stop speculating about this. It's super fringe and not even worth it. To be honest, outside of the long layover until the next season and figuring out something to talk about, speculating on this show doesn't have a ton of value as the season opener will set things up for the key storylines and they have a blank slate right now to work with, just with pieces in different places.
One thing I thought was off a bit was the overwhelmingly negative reaction to Ted’s panic attack and the extent him lying about it was a huge scandal. Yeah The Sun, Daily Mail and Piers Morgan would be idiots about it, but the way they portrayed it was over-the-top and something you’d have seen 25 years ago not today. At the end of the day he’s just a manager in the Championship and not Sir Alex Ferguson, and of course the real scandal is that he’s already managing a soccer club with zero experience in the sport. But I get it was an easy way to move forward the Nate betrayal.
Feels like they kind of used the media as a catch all wrt how Media/social media and talking heads kind of lean into athletes when they show vulnerability wrt mental health.
I read the soccer tabloids in England on a daily basis, and I wouldn't put anything past them. They are not the most progressive people. Half the time they literally just make shit up. They also love a good gossip. I do agree that some of the articles would be a bit more positive, but it also depends on who the source is and what their rooting interest is. and like that, these articles just popped up... Phil Jones reveals his struggle to cope with criticism on 'toxic' social media after his wife and children saw him 'getting slaughtered' for poor displays... as he tries to revive his Manchester United career after suffering injury hell Paul Merson reveals he's now given an allowance by his wife after he gambled away their house deposit during Covid lockdown
Was it really? I thought it was just a big deal locally. Then the one segment on skysports but Ted has that "American coach tabloid draw" since he's a an outsider. I can see the tabloid interest in the non soccer coach having panic attacks. I also thought they did a great job of portraying how people act around people struggling with mental health. Half avert their eyes like Ted is diseased. The other half are over the top "are you okay?!!?!". Just thought they did a good job of that even though it was really brief
sorry, what I mean is does Rupert know who she is in context of Rebecca. sure he might know who she is but why would he want to screw her over? have they ever interacted beyond a brief hello? I don't see how it makes sense for him to go to all that trouble to screw her over to get back at Rebecca by proxy or something.
I am sure Trent Crimm is going to bring down Rupert next season. No idea what for, but I think Crimm is going to be a big part of next season.
Would love that story line, and it's certainly plausible. I still think Nate gets redeemed somehow, because this seems like that kind of show. The only irredeemable characters are Rupert, Jamie's dad, and Jane?
I don’t know if I said it already but everyone was expecting Nate to spit on the camera as it zoomed in on him to end the season right?
Yea, but this show doesn't break the 4th wall, so for it to work, he would have needed to be in front of a mirror.
After spending way too much time squinting, here's what I got. 301 Rebecca+ Keely go shopping (can't read the rest) 302 Ted Dies 303 Biscuits laced with cocaine (LMAO) Henry coaches team via zoom Ted develops a (can't read the rest) 304 Can't read 305 Rebecca gets adult Diapers? 306 Dani Fights the Queen (LMAO) 307 Reveal Roy Small Dick (Blasphemy) 308 ??? 309 Team Field trip to meet Mrs. Blaker? 310 Nate Wins British Bakeoff (Fuck you Nate) Beard is the Zodiac Killer (LMAO) Rebecca??? 311 312 The Dead Dog Comes Back to Haunt (LMAO)
I have already mentally written a storyline that an angry Dani in dress shoes at Buckingham palace loses his shit when a guard yells at him for sitting on a random chair which happens to be the Queen's Throne trying to rest his feet. The queen comes out, sees Dani sitting on the Throne and jumps him.
no no no. I'm with you on the dress shoe thing but then she says something like "Football is not life" and then he loses it.
A little sweet. Very buttery. Not a lot of flavors. Kind of a dense crumble crispness. Unimpressive. Tells us a lot about the British palette.
I briskly skipped over the convo. But Vanity fair just did a big spread on Kealey right? Could easily talk about her friendship with Rebecca and how Rebecca gave her the start. Rebecca asked Keals to not work for Rupert, and said the world is right when he’s a conniving bastard, more foreshadowing.
No offense but all the Ted Lasso costumes a year too late got me triggered. Also, don’t forget I’m a pretty finicky bitch that complains about most everything.
