Cinnamon and Romney ruined Ted Lasso costumes, and possibly the show, for me forever, so I’m with him on this.
Someone dressing up as a character from a show you like or love being a reason to stop watching is one of the stupidest things I’ve ever heard
I had someone else tell me they wouldn’t watch the show now and they were serious. They hadn’t watched it before and it annoyed me that they now refuse to
No shit. I've been planning mine for a month and grew my own stache. Turned out great but that dipshit ruined the fuck out of it
Finally got to finish the second season. Fuck Nate. Needy little bitch. 100% chance Rupert tosses his ass to the wolves, the second he's no longer just a "fuck you" to Richmond. So glad Sam stayed and Edwin's reaction was fantastic. Roy and Phoebe's dynamic is the best thing on TV.
My wife and I finally had enough time to binge this together over the last week. What an amazing show. -Piss off Nate, you twat -I think the Christmas and Funeral episodes are my favorites -Roy, Higgins and Dani Rojas are all outstanding characters -Love the mix of humor and emotion -Only one complaint: Spoiler Richmond clearly had two players offsides on the long ball that led to the tying goal in the finale
I'm not exactly a regular on the soccer board but even I recognized that. Turning off your bullshit radar for a lot of the things actually involving soccer in the show is a necessity.
Wife wanted to watch the show so we started Season one last night. Through three episodes and she’sa big fan, which surprised me a bit since it’s a “sports” comedy. But the show is just so damn delightful I had a visceral reaction to Nate running into the pitch in the first episode knowing where he ends up. Fuck him
Bout to watch the season one finale. Diamond Dogs was a phenomenal episode. I feel like I should hate Jamie Tartt but I go back and forth and right now I oddly like him.
Well it’s not a sports comedy. It’s a show about people where the setting it’s a soccer team in England.
That’s why I put “sports” in quotes. It’s a workplace comedy, but there’s enough sports where we ended up having a discussion about relegation, offsides, etc yesterday. Generally, that would be enough for her to not watch. FNL had too much football for her
Such a great show. Sudeikis had a great quote on SNL. It was something like- I’m shocked this show is a hit because it’s built around two things Americans hate: soccer and kindness.
Eps 3 (Trent Crimm) and 8 (Diamond Dogs) of season 1 are my favorite episodes of the show. All of eps 3-10 are outstanding, really. And season 2 was very good. But those two episodes for me had everything I love about the show.
