Such a great episode. Tart repping Sam caused some goosebumps for some reason. Nate and his dad hit differently, like now you want to not hate Nate. Roy and tart just amazing. Also Bumbercatch being Swiss was funny.
If they had wrapped Keelys story like that more quickly I don’t think anyone would be complaining and it’s actually a good part of the show. Cut Jack out and just have them pull funding for the Shandy disaster.
the jack storyline was meh. It doesn't need to be completely removed, but 95% of the scenes at the new firm could and should have been cut.
I switched off of it last night because the basketball got good, but just did a rewatch and that is one of the best episodes ever made. really really great stuff.
If we were doing the Rewatchables categories, Akufo wins Dion Waiters by a landslide. I was damn near rolling on the floor during that entire scene in Sam's restaurant. Funniest scene in the show since his last scene in the finale of season 2.
That character is fucking hilarious. from being someone who everyone was convinced was another wholesome lovable character to cartoon villain in the blink of an eye. The writing for him is so perfect and the actor who does the handshakes is absolutely incredible.
I had already lost it during the scene. And then that guy started to doing the high five thing to Sam and it was over. And Sam's face the entire time in that scene was perfect, just like it was in the finale of s2.
That was among the best episodes of the show. Only thing I didn't really like is the Rebecca speech. Not because it was bad, but because of how optimistic and unrealistic it was compared to what that would actually be like. No one in that room is getting swayed by that. But it led to more fun Akufo stuff so whatever. That felt like the first hour long episode of the season that was worthy of the time.
Really solid joke that got missed was Jade asking Nate if he wanted to go home to Poland with her to help her family change light bulbs.
I also like Let’s go ahead and wish our friends safe travels and Godspeed, or whatever narcotic your deity chooses to self-medicate with.
also it's crazy that they couldn't get a decent child actor for Ted's son and yet Roy's niece is awesome.
I was really surprised we didn't get more of her this season. She's a massive catalyst for every character that interacts with her.
Yea. Phoebe is an excellent character with excellent writing and acting. Massively underutilized this season
Not my favorite episode but seemed pretty clearly the best directed I can remember. The violin/beautiful game speech was incredibly well done.
The show is at its best when it’s a corny cheese fest with some good jokes thrown in and this episode really nailed it.
Anyone catch that Ryan Stiles and Colin Mockery were the announcers for the international game between van damme and Danny?
That was a great episode. Knew it was gonna be top-tier when Jamie arrived for the uncle’s day celebration.
