I don't know what happened to Ted's dad, but this episode clearly set up him having father issues that will ultimately lead to whatever his big scene is with the sports psychologist down the road. I don't think it's a coincidence that both Jamie and Sam talked about their dads to Ted in that episode.
Didn't the therapist also say her favorite book was prince of tides? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Prince_of_Tides_(novel)
this is why I now prefer entire season drops all at once as opposed to weekly the weekly discourse of most stuff is "I dont really like it so far, such as such is better/worse" when the entire story isn't revealed yet so the discourse seems to form more opinions than the actual show does it really became apparent for me with the marvel shows
oh my god that was an incredible episode Roy Kent gets an A+ again Led Tasso was great Sam was great Rebecca and Nora were great Bravo
I enjoyed it, but was my least favorite episode of the season. I thought some of Lasso scenes were over the top. Like they pushed his quirky personality too much. The office scene with Sassy was almost too much over doing it. Still good and lots to like, but not my favorite episode.
sure it had some funny lines. Like I said I enjoyed it still. Just thought they made Lasso a little cartoonish this episode. Over did the character a little. If this is the worst it gets in my opinion then we still getting good to great content.
Definitely my favorite episode this year and sets up what I think will be the season conflict…sponsorship and being able to afford players and staff, or really anything.
yea, I was wondering if they were going to be realistic about the fact that they got relegated which usually results in the team being sold off. While it isn't realistic that they waited until the season started, better late than never.
I mean he is a cartoon and he does kooky things. He is not supposed to be realistic, so to that end it was just another kooky thing.
I would watch the hell out of that show if it was real. Great episode, saw the sponsor change in the trailer but figured it was for being relegated. Much more interesting angle of player protest.
Did notice the sponsor change in the trailer. Good call. Interesting how they bring in the new one Spoiler: New Sponsor Bantr, the dating app
Probably just going to be a lack of options kinda thing. I did not catch that in the trailer but predicted it to my wife based on how heavy handed they’ve been with that setup.
Completely missed it in the trailer the first time. also Higgins when he was trying to make Rebecca look good, also great underrated moment.
Rewatched S1… They tied the game against Man City by lining up in an American football formation, sent Sam in motion, and Dani Rojas scored on a half bicycle kick.
And the Mighty Ducks skated in a flying wedge formation. I don't think accurate representation of soccer is a priority.
