That’s just how the dice tend to land for franchises that do things like use high draft picks on players like Derrick Henry
i'm excited to see mariota in this offense because guys like lewis, davis, and taylor (if he can catch it) can make plays in space
Gabbert vs the Jags defense god having Mariota at QB sucks mainly because he isn't very good. It also sucks because he is injured so often that even shittier backups consistently have to play Lewan is cleared to play at least
how about this line from an ESPN update on Rashaan Evans, who was on the field for one special teams play last week: "Even though it was tough to watch from the sideline, the Titans' first-round pick insists he wasn't frustrated and looks forward to possibly playing his first defensive reps against the Jacksonville Jaguars this week" he could possibly play his first defensive snaps. Wouldn't that be remarkable! the crap at the bottom makes me get on the field first, man: Making his debut against Jacksonville would be an excellent opportunity for Evans, because he'll get to play on the same field as Jaguars safety and former college teammate Ronnie Harrison. They have shared some trash talk. "We've been going back and forth at each other, and it has been great," Evans said. "I told my dog, Ronnie, 'If I get in there, somebody is getting touched.'" http://www.espn.com/blog/tennessee-...s-working-while-he-waits-to-make-titans-debut
Its honestly amazing that its game 3 of the 2018 season and Mariota is going to have only played .5 games this season. I don't understand how you don't drink or party but you don't get any better at your craft. It seems impossible.
Watching Blaine Gabbert play QB is so depressing. I'm gonna go on a bike ride Fuck Mariota for being so bitch made
Mariota is a garbage QB. 2-1 with consecutive wins over division opponents, pretty amazing given our "franchise QB" is a total bitch and we've had other injuries all over
yup Mariota played a hell of a ball game going 12/18 for 100 yards despite entering early in the first quarter. Lots of positive predictive value from that performance basically he needs to run to be good and he's so soft that is a disaster waiting to happen. Sucks to be a Titans fan
the Titans cannot realistically build around Mariota given his total inability to stay on the field. Not to mention his lack of development as a passer since entering the league
not sure why you guys get bothered by him. he literally doesn't watch the games. he mentioned it last year. even today, he talks about going for a bike ride instead of watching the game. he's a fantasy sports/box score guy.
By the way, Mariota is like a goddamn drug after watching Gabbert play for 5 series. He's so much better (not a SB winner ever but still).
I'm not saying thats why he's gained weight.....but thats why I've gained weight. Also, if you are a Nashville fan, its bad you haven't heard of either. You may not be a fan tho
I definitely don't do fantasy sports. Had a great ride down to the Public Garden Heard they're operating on limited hours these days. Probably not a good sign for their chances of survival. Rotiers that is
Only lunch hours now. Everything is still fire. The family owns the building (or their unit) so it really shouldn't matter in terms of "staying in business"
I think there are fair criticisms of Marcus IE: He doesn't have a great deep ball and while its rare, he will make a boneheaded decision. But I think critiquing his toughness is pretty dumb. Here are some quotes from his teammates: “He’s one of the toughest guys I know,” center Ben Jones said. “He’s a true competitor, and he would do anything for this team. I love that guy to death. “That’s just a wolf being a wolf, man,” tackle Taylor Lewan said of Mariota. “I’ll follow that guy anywhere.” “Marcus stepped up huge today,” said Titans receiver Corey Davis, who had a pair of big catches in the game. “He’s a warrior. Hat’s off to him.”
I don't really question his "toughness" which I feel is an abstract term. I'm just annoyed he's hurt all the time. Additionally, we saw Blaine Gabbert play a full game.....and then a couple drives. It's incredibly obvious that Mariota is 10x better and was at least competent despite being "hurt". Mariota needs to sack the fuck up and just play if he can compete at that level.
Agree with that, but ( and im biased) I wouldnt be surprised if he wanted to go and was not allowed by the coaches. Because this doesn't seem like something that can worse right ?
from ESPN's power rankings: "The Titans have scored a touchdown on just three of their 32 drives this season (9 percent), the lowest rate in the NFL. They have failed to score a touchdown on their past 18 drives."
A lot of that has to do with two of the past three games being (1) Gabbert playing without three starting linemen then losing our main playmaker for the season and (2) forcing Mariota back early and having to change the game plan against one of the best defenses in the league. Bottom line is that we’re 2-1 (honestly should be 3-0 without Boger and co fucking us) with two division wins while we’ve been overrun with injuries. It’s a good start and I’m optimistic for the rest of the season.
We are three games into a new coaching staff and we’re 2-1. Excuse me for not writing off the season.
and Mariota hasnt play for 7 of the 12 quarters...and Lewan didnt play for a game and Conklin hasnt played and Delanie broke his ankle and the refs fucked us out of touchdown against Miami.
