The whole mandatory dealship model is so fucking stupid and reminds me of the brewery/distributor model that a lot of states mandate. Nothing but political bribes
Just bought a 2018 Model 3 off carvana. A little nervous about going the online route but seems like they have a solid return policy.
did it come with full self driving enabled? i've noticed Tesla enables it when you buy used through them
Took massive efforts in Georgia to allow Breweries to sell beer to the public vs mandatory 3rd party/distributors
Pretty sure it does not. I make a weekly for work that is about 5 hours round trip but its 90% one highway and very little traffic so just base autopilot will get the job done there perfectly. i've noticed Tesla enables it when you buy used through them This is the listing, should be getting it delivered next Wednesday. https://www.carvana.com/vehicle/1481505
really hope battery day goes about as successfully as the debut of the cybertruck indestructible windows
They like halfway made it where breweries could sell to the public in Texas. It’s all fucking stupid.
New refreshed model 3 looks nice. 353 mile range on the LR model. And apparently it didn't have a power trunk before, but does now? For a tech company, that seems like a weird modem technology oversight
That jump in range is pretty sweet. Won't be long before 300 mile ranges will be their normal. At that point almost everyone can not worry about range anxiety. Have had my model 3 now for a couple weeks. It is such an awesome car and I couldn't be happier with the purchase. My only current gripe is the autopilot for me is a little too back and forth trying to stay centered in the lane. A little like being on a boat, good thing about Tesla though is this can be improved on with software updates.
I feel like I should be waiting til 2022/new batteries to get one but I don’t wanna keep my current car beyond 100k miles. Also wish they would release the pricing on the rwd model y (I know they glitch showed it but most think that price isn’t accurate)
That's what I thought too. This one looks stretched out and has more of an S look to me. Like you said, could be angles.
Lucid Air is being sold at 69k and has 400 mile range. Probably why Tesla dropped its price. This car looks nicer than the S especially the front grill
No, but I like the interior Lucid also offers a "dream" edition of this car. Its 1,080hp and has a 500m range.
My wife recently traded her sedan for a Grand Cherokee and now I'm getting antsy wanting something new. I've had my current GC for almost 6 years. The new body style Grand Cherokee is close to a year away. No word on the 392 Wrangler. No news on when the Grand Wagoneer will go into production. If the Rivian were available right now, I'd be taking a real hard look at it. I like the look of it. I wish the interior screens were more built into the dash than just looking some iPads glued to the dash but I like the rest of it.
Tesla doesn't have model years so they just upgrade things as they come along. This is the biggest change to the model 3 so far though. You have the chrome delete, new wheels available, power lift for the trunk, a totally new center console design. They also changed the heating and cooling to a heat pump and what they call the octovalve, this is probably the biggest reason for the range increase as it's far more efficient at heating and cooling. They also put the sentry usb ports in the glove box so that you can lock your hard drive in there (used to be in the center console so if someone broke into your car they could just take the hard drive with the footage). Think that's about everything.
being in florida the heat pump won't do much for me, but I know almost everyone has asked that they add that heat pump from the Y to the 3 so that's good to hear that was part of it
One negative about Lucid... If your base model is 70k you shouldn’t be needing to add 10k in upgrades to get a fully loaded vehicle. That’s fucking lame.
Believe they also increased the thickness of the window glass to further limit road noise. That's a nice touch.
It has some really cool features but that price point and battery make it seem like they are going to have a really hard time being competitive.
wish they showed that feature with helping navigate a parking lot or something rather than bouldering a fucking mountain
