Modern cars in the last couple of decades, ~ a dozen ECU’s on lower end vehicles up to 100+ on higher end vehicles.
Picked mine up this week and it’s absolutely incredible. Range anxiety is the biggest hurdle to overcome but I couldn’t be happier with the performance and overall build quality of the car. Love it so far.
I was a day one holder so 2 years and 2 months or so. Worked out good since I was able to plan when I’d need a new car.
My buddy has a model 3. It’s def a nice car. It seems to have excessive wind noise on the highway. The OtA updates are very cool. for me in the $60k price range that he paid i think I’d opt for another car. But no doubt that e cars are the future. My brother is sales manager at a jaguar dealer and he is getting training on the new iPace next week I think. Interested to get his feedback on that.
Are people really trying to insinuate he was making a comment about Jews? I’m no Musk fan but come the fuck on
I think he was making a reference to powerful people in the media, not jews specifically though many of them are Jewish
Not to mention if he’s going to take a shot at Jews, I don’t think he’s dumb enough to think he’d be able to get away with it just by being cryptic on Twitter. Guy is one of the smartest people in the world
Feels like a big leap to try to make Musk out to be a bigot with that, but maybe these are the early stages of his transition into a James Bond-ish billionaire villain?
do I think he meant it to be *THE JEWS*? not really do I think he understands he's using the same argument anti semites use to say *THE JEWS* but not be socially unacceptable? no
I think you're right on both counts but I don't have any doubts as well that he knew his choice of wording would seem problematic
I think he’s just a know it all who doesn’t give a fuck about workers’ rights and won’t admit he was wrong about something.
He is clearly saying "powerful people" own media which I'm sure is true. He still is wrong about most media and its confusing to me how thin skinned he is.
He lives in a bubble with people who kiss his ass all the time. Also people have constantly hyped his shit even though he hasn't met expectations a single time on anything. So it was just a matter of time
Agreed. And while he may miss the mark more often than he hits it, I have to give him credit for innovating and trying to push science forward. Most of experimentation is fucking up and learning from it. If you saw how often drug companies had total misses in their R&D before hitting on the big thing...
The brakes have an electric booster. The force-assist curve can be changed as well as when the ABS kicks in based on feedback from the wheel speed sensors. I have no idea what’s being changed, but those are two options.
They wont start till probably early 2019, it doesn't make sense from a production standpoint to sell your lowest gross margin car early on when your production line hasn't become streamlined and efficient. See the following tweet below.
Based on this, it seems like this woman would have probably been hit by a car if someone was driving. She crossed into oncoming traffic and could not clear the road in time, was wearing dark clothes, had no side reflectors on her or her bike, and any lights she had were pointed perpendicular to the oncoming traffic until it was too late. It would be good if automated cars could save lives. But in this case it didn't do that. Which is not good, but is no worse than the alternative. Had Uber commented on why they think the car detected an object in its path but didn't take any maneuvers to avoid the object?
