https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...adline-factory-pressures-and-suspicions-grow/ :) Can’t wait to read the book in a few years about all of the Tesla fraud
This is the article that started it all: http://www.businessinsider.com/tesla-model-3-scrap-waste-high-gigafactory-2018-5 Going to be interesting to see how this pans out with all of these accusations flying around https://www.marketwatch.com/Story/a...violence-2018-06-21?&siteid=yhoof2&yptr=yahoo
For sure obviously if that’s true, but for the sake of it if that was happening and he’s the whistle blower he claims why not go to the NHTSA? Or someone who matters instead of business insider.
Yea, really nothing substantive has happened to cause the stock to rise like it has so a pullback isn’t surprising. Like I said I’m waiting till the end of the month, if I was to guess I’d expect 4,200-4,800 produced probably in the past week.
i really like tesla's products and i hope the company succeeds. my parents have a tesla. generally speaking, i hope people like musk succeed because the world needs more innovators who aren't tech bros creating dumb apps/trying to launch new mobile apps. but if the last few years haven't shown you to be wary of these giant narcissists with cult-like followings, you're be insane.
Jag I-Pace is almost here. First significant premium brand Tesla competitor: https://www.jaguarusa.com/all-models/i-pace/index.html https://jalopnik.com/the-2019-jaguar-i-pace-doesnt-punish-you-for-wanting-an-1826870259 Will be interesting to see what kind of volume they're aiming for in the US.
Biggest negative is they don’t really have a charging network, but it’s one of the first solid non Tesla EVs.
My bro is in Cali now getting trained on the Ipace. He said its legit. I would think at the price point a lot of tesla buyers will at least take a look at the jag. It will also feature OTA updates I think like tesla. I am hoping this accelerates other car makers into the market. I know volvo and vw made big commitments but I think thy are still years away form anything on the roads. I don't know anything about the ipace autonomous driving capabilities couldn't find much online.
Mercedes is the one to watch in this space. First deliveries of their new ev expected next year, and their future product plans are extremely heavy on evs. They will scale much better than Jag or Volvo.
Tsla stock price up 5% at the open today on musk lie that they produced (factory gated)5,000 model 3s in a week. My puts up 4.5% Something is rotten in the state of tsla
If you take out the 5,000 the claim they produced in the last week do the qtr they averaged 1,960/week I love Elon
The factory was shut down a couple times in Q2 to adjust the lines to ramp up production so the weekly number for Q2 was a little bit more than that. But going from 2,000 at the end of Q1 to over 5k with 5,031 and having net orders still sitting at 420,000 is solid work. Will be more interesting to see as production increases how reservations numbers change and if word of mouth will create an increase reservations or will people be wary of the wait. Still reaffirmed the larger goal of positive GAAP net income and cash flow in Q3 and Q4. Edit cause my math was wrong.
Well that is stupid. They didn't have a weekly avg goal for Q2 as they were revamping the entire production line that included numerous prolonged shutdowns for changes.
I think they can same points were made about burst rates or that it couldn't be sustained back at the end of Q1 when they were hitting 2,000 a week but since then production has only gone up from there. Currently they are guiding for 6,000 cars by the end of July.
Well, you were wrong with the fact they couldn't hit the targets and they did so I'm sure you'll be right again
even if you are willing to concede that "factory gated" is the same thing as produced (i'm not), they were still 5 hours after their 1 week deadline.
So they, for all intents and purposes, hit their target and crushed previous company standards...but you'll bitch
He is a showman for sure but name some other private businesses or people having as big an impact on society and overall innovation? He will probably go bankrupt several more times but electric vehicles, private space exploration, boring machines, hyperloop, etc. It is remarkable what he’s done in today’s over regulated world. I give him props for being a catalyst for change.
I'm a Tesla fan but I have to admit that I'm skeptical of an increase like that right before the deadline.
don't disagree. he's had some hits and misses. i use paypal multiple times per week. i think tsla will go bankrupt.
It's really splitting hairs. They were made, just still in the factory. They've made substantial changes and producing cars at a rate they never have. He's repeated mistakes that car manufacturers did 30 years ago, so he is due some blame, but your over the top negativity is a bit much
