it wasn't even a secret. it was on his twitter. after that stuff was posted, i guess security people came out to him when he was stalking the fremont lots (he routinely is tracking action there). so it probably just pissed elon off that the big ride was spoiled and he told the security people to get rid of him imo.
Interesting theory except none of the time stamps of the tweets support that theory if he says it happened at 1pm on the 16th.

i almost feel bad for elon now. he used to be able to get away with all this bullshit. now people, other than ksim14 , can finally see him for what he is. he is going to be flat broke soon with all his money tied up in space x and tesla. maybe he has one good pump left in him before it all comes crumbling down.

I mean Musk said it would need to go through regulators who are not going to just let it out willy nilly, not really sure what consumer reports point is. Elon’s Elon, he hypes his products and over estimates timelines. I know what he is, I just don’t believe he’s who you believe he is. I just want more EV’s on the roads and he’s the only one making a worth while attempt.
I have a lot more faith in a gas or diesel engine reaching 1,000,000 miles than I do all the other parts.
To provide some context to that Musk said current drive units are designed and tested for 1 million miles, current battery packs are somewhere between 300-500,000 miles, but they are developing a new battery pack for sometime in 2020 that will be designed for 1 million miles.

Says "There will be 1 million cars capable of being a robo taxi" and "There will be 1 million robo taxis" are two different things. The vast majority of Tesla owners arent going to sign up for that.
