up 7%. tomorrow we short it going into earnings
Elon has learned self control
I'm not really sure if Tesla fits into normal "car sales" cycle due to they don't seem to have "year" cars. But isn't Q2 one of the lower historical quarters? Q4 is the highest volume b/c of "new year" cars being released?
So they just beat their highest Q4 volume in a slow quarter?
How is $TSLAQ taking this Gallant Knight ? Lies? Faking the numbers?
Q4 was highest becuase they had a $7,500 tax credit that expired on 1.1.19
Their $3,750 tax credit expired yesterday and is now half of that.
they delivered a lot of cars. let's see how much money they made.
once again, i don't have a position in tsla. i may initiate one tomorrow though
Delivering a lot of cars is good news for Tesla. Now if they can stop giving away heated seats just to turn them off later maybe they'll actually make money.
Did you already sell the options you bought a month ago?
sold them a day later and made like 18%
have learned my lesson about holding anything related to tesla for a significant amount of time. it was an expensive lesson to learn too
Bought 50 Tesla 237.50 July 5th puts for $3.45 this morning
I assume that's 2020, not an execution date in 2 days
If those were in 2020 they would cost $50.50 not $2.45
Hoping the stock closes today around 237.5 and then goes down 2% friday
i am old enough to remember the stock popping up 10% AH and opening up 7% when they hit 5,000 mode 3 per week and the stock ending the day red
Let me get this right. You bought 50 lots, right?
So you spent 50*100*3.45 =$17, 250
It's currently trading at 238.50,so you're out of the money. You need dit to hit 237.50-3.45 (put cost) =234.05 to break even.
Right? So you really need it to go down 2.7% to break even, anything more is good.
Or, if the stick falls off its 7% surge today, you could sell the option later today for more than 3.45, right?
Yep that’s right
Love how you went from this extreme yesterday and then to the other end buying 48 hour puts for 17grand
Best of luck.
Hey I have something fun to follow for a couple days now.
2 days is not a significant time.
Market closes 3 hours early today and closed tomorrow
I wonder about the market close and no news it it'll stay kind of flat.
Opening up 7% from yesterday is a pretty big jump and there still is negwnees today about deliveries ain't the end all be all.
A lot of stocks that jump will fall back a little. I think you could be in the money by the end of today... Still absurd risky
That's why I said he went from one extreme (holding for a significant amount of time) to 48hrs.
Cmon dumb dumb
He said he learned his lesson from holding it for a significant amount of time, meaning he wouldn't do it again, so holding 2 days lines up with that.
I may be dumb but I can read.
Yes, I know. That's exactly why I said it.
He went from long term I hyper short term. That's changing extremes.
Remember when you claim I argue with you just bc it's you?? I'm pretty sure that was you just projecting. No need to hop on that white steed for GK, we're having a nice conversation
He was not extreme long term yesterday. In fact, he said he'd learned his lesson from it. He didn't change from yesterday to today.
I'm not arguing with you, just pointing out that this post was wrong. Nothing changed from yesterday to today.
Dbl you argue with everyone
I'm not arguing. I'm correcting.
Yes, dipshit. "yesterday" referred to the comment he made "yesterday"
was taking a poop this morning and decided to buy some puts. it's not like some higher level learning.
Yesterday he said he'd learned his lesson from holding for long times.
Today he bought 2 day puts.
What changed from yesterday to today?
hovering around 237.75. go ahead and make a new low
Thank you for proving my point in what I was referring to.
Now go away. You're being super fucking annoying over something no one cares about and not even relevant to this thread
as an impartial third party who enjoys both of you i can confidently say--both of you love arguing minutiae on the internet
How much has you put gained in value off a dollar or so drop?
i actually bought around 237.5 this morning so i'm about even.
would be very happy if it dips into the 235s. i will probably sell today if that happens.
You could have just said "I read his post from yesterday wrong" and avoided all of this. Admitting you're wrong isn't in your DNA though.
I didnt though. I knew he was talking about last year when he had a loss.
Well then you worded this post horribly bc it reads "You went from one extreme yesterday to the other today."
made the same trade in my fiancee's brokerage account with 10 puts and cashed out for a $400 gain for her
Congrats on the sex
sold half for $3.78. going to carry half the position over the holiday
closed at 234.90
options ended day trading at 4.30
would v much love the stock to close at 231 to end the week. would almost double my money with the portion i have left
What was your profit?
it was more about eliminating risk on the $8500 vs taking the 10% profit
Please tell me they included deliveries to dealerships abroad in the 95k delivery number
That would be amazing and also a reason why like 3 VPs left over the last 7-10 days
In Broward county we raised taxes 1% (6-->7) in order to build an express lane that will charge tolls.
