Yeah I really wouldn't have cared if we dumped Choo. Now we just have to watch 3 way overpaid players the next few years.
UPDATE III -- Per Jeff Passan on Twitter, the Rangers are expected to pay about $15 million for Hamilton's salary, with the Angels taking the rest. That's more than I'd be comfortable paying him, but I suspect ownership sees some off-the-field value to this. UPDATE IV -- Bill Shaiken and Aiden Gonzalez, both of whom are Angels beat writers, say LAA will not be getting any players back in this deal.
so basically 5 mil a year for him this is what we're going to have to do with choo in a few years. eat almost all of his salary just to dump him on someone
I was hoping that number would be a little lower but I'm not too upset about this deal, honestly. We are certainly buying low on someone who conceivably help us next year when we actually have a chance in hell of being competitive Most likely we just lit 15 million on fire, but its probably worth the shot considering the state of our OF/DH And yes, I hated Hamilton and wanted him gone at the time.
i'm legit sad that choo wasn't included he's hitting fucking .220 over the last calendar year. that's fucking worse than mitch moreland at his worst.
Yeah, Choo is depressing to me. I loved it when we got him, I thought he'd be one of the best leadoff hitters in the league for at least 2-3 more years He doesn't even see the ball well anymore
Round Rock Express @RRExpress 2h2 hours ago INCREDIBLE One-Hitter from Express RHP Jerad Eickhoff at Dell Diamond. 8.1 IP, 1 H, 2 R (2 ER), 2 BB, 11 K. Not bad for a Triple-A debut.
Maybe everyone will stop freaking out. Probably not Hamiltons production in 2013 and 2014 was probably worth 5 million per year (for 25 million, it was awful). Our fans are emotional/dumb
Hey guys, want to hear something really depressing? Joaquin arias has been more valuable than Beltre, Leonys, Choo, and Elvis combined this year.
Want to know what's even more depressing than that (you already know this)? We chose Arias over Cano in the Arod deal This gets mentioned 15 times a year and I cry everytime
That scroll across the bottom of mlb network got me to thinking who the 4 faces of this franchise are. Im gonna say Nolan, Pudge, Juando and Face. Maybe you old farts can swap out one for a 70's Ranger.
Beltre Pedro Moura ✔@pedromoura Adrian Beltre sent Garrett Richards a $300 invoice for the three bats he broke yesterday. Richards loved it. He sent him back a bat. 5:20 PM - 25 Apr 2015
this inning is really upsetting because tolleson has been a top 5 reliever in all of baseball this year
Time to do some redecorating in my office. Look at what I dug up. Gift from premier A's fan Dayneface in the first ever secret santa
as a fan, he said what i needed to hear to root for him when he puts on a Ranger uniform. Now, lets see what he does while wearing that uniform
