I truly believe baseball is a sport where its impossible to play up to your value when you know the overall team is dogshit. In both football and basketball you can even elevate your stats based on being on a shitty team. Baseball is a grind and you have to have something to play for outside of future contract considerations. Having destructive contracts like Choo's is tough on every level of the organization. Then again, if its true that Hamilton wanted to come back this bad, him coming in and making some noise could actually help us out in a lot of important ways. If he is a cancer, holy fuck its going to get ugly.
