"In addition to Red and Kitty, the show will center on the character of Leia Forman, their granddaughter from Eric and Donna." The 70s reference! I get it!
I remember enjoying the original show in the random times I saw it. Then I tried watching it years ago when it was on Netflix and was shocked at how unfunny I found it. Maybe it was the knowledge of the Hyde thing that ruined it for me.
I mean, it was made for a certain age person mostly. You're likely out of that demographic now, also.
I loved it when it was on but like you I’d expect to feel different about it now as well. I haven’t seen it in forever so I guess I don’t know for sure.
Wow Donna looks awful. Her plastic surgeon made her look like Cher. The cameos are the only enjoyable part really. Trying to get into it, but it has serious Disney Channel vibes. Not my thing.
Four or five years ago. Probably shouldn’t have said “awful.” That just tends to be my reaction when someone who was beautiful before ends up with the obvious plastic surgery look.
She’s very deep into Scientology. My wife is a talent agent and reps her niece. The niece said she’s estranged from the family. Nobody sees or hears from her ever
fwiw she left scientology a couple years ago. https://people.com/tv/laura-prepon-on-motherhood-and-leaving-scientology/
The new kids are p bad. Debra Jo Rupp is still absolutely great as Kitty. the 90210 episode with Brian Austin Green was incredible. 5/10 will watch because its easy mindless stuff i can quickly be done with. id only recommend to fans of the original and it wouldnt be a very strong rec. That 70’s show was absolutely stacked with talent, so its tough to follow that, but they need better writing for that 90’s show at least.
Like people said, it's not very good and the vibe is Disney Channel plus basic pot smoking. It's good if you want a little nostalgia though
Its meh but the cast is probably pretty cheap and it doesnt cost too much for Netflix to produce so it gets a 2nd season
Kitty and Red are awesome, the main girl is pretty good. The rest of the cast is v bad, but its still enjoyable.
That 90's Show would have never had a chance at renewal if it wasn't for all the nostalgia watching. The 90s kids are nowhere near as good as they were in 70s
You are giving the OG cast wayyyyyy too much credit here Topher, Ashton, and Mila have their niches but none of them will be award winning actors anytime soon And Wilmer and Masterson both belong on the sex offender register rather than being actors
Kutcher is also one of those weirdos who talk about children being trafficked. But thinks his serial rapist friend is a role model
They need to lose their tax exemption Spoiler While he was convicted on two counts of rape, Masterson has five accusers who allege that the Church of Scientology suppressed them from reporting the former actor, a lifelong member, to the LAPD. While the LAPD launched an investigation into Masterson in 2017, the actor furiously denied the women’s allegations, releasing a lengthy statement through his representative that disparaged the accusers and suggested they had only come forward because they’d been in contact with Leah Remini, who was then working on a television series speaking out against the Church of Scientology.
I’ve just kinda caught up on all this shit since I saw the conviction, but getting 30-life for rape means he’s a fucking monster.
I’ve only seen minimal coverage of it but I’ve always thought Ashton was lauded for fighting actual child trafficking. Not the weird Q shit
