That rando is a person who put together the language of the contract offer to Golding
Considering how plugged in they are at Ole Miss and Alabama, they must not have done a very good job.
They are only plugged in at OU. I’m not related to anyone that knows anything at Ole Miss
Oh, that's worse than I thought. Bama is gonna have a baaaaaad time
Alabama's explosive play allowed index. Woof.
lol @ an OU fan commenting on any part of another team's defense.
What aboutism? What are you a Trump voter?
Word out of Oxford is Golding will be our next DC
Word out of Tuscaloosa is we’re electing to kick ass.
Kicked Ole Miss ass for sure. We needed an actual good DC.
He's stupider than I thought if that's the case
Sounds like the wife secured the bag
Any idea as to when that would be announced?
It probably won't get announced today even if they get it signed. We will hear it's confirmed if he signs though. It’s for $1.5m over 3 years with a roll over after year 1. It’s not a done deal just yet though.
I assume Texas has the best DL Oklahoma has faced all year? I think the biggest thing with Kyler is setting the edge (Jennings and Miller) then getting pressure up the middle (Q, Kwon, Mack). I know OU’s offensive line is very, very, good, but they haven’t seen a DL/OLB group in the same galaxy as ours.
Texas was definitely the best defense and had some pretty good linemen and linebackers. They were able to slow down the run game but had zero answer for the passing game. If i'm Alabama i'd go heavy in the secondary and make them beat me running the ball.
I'm not convinced any college football defense is good enough to play base defense or front 7 heavy and stop Riley's offense from scoring 45.
This isn’t really going out on a limb, future. If we can contain the OU run game from a 2 high nickel, I think we’ll be just fine.
I can tell you with absolute certainty Georgia thought the same thing going into the Rose Bowl last year.
Alabama's defense this year is better than UGA's last year. Better DL and secondary, worse LB
And I can tell you with absolute certainty that whatever Georgia thought last year has no bearing on what will happen this year.
Serious question, why do you have more posts itt than any fan of either team involved?
Is there a way to calculate posts in a thread?
There's 25 on this page. 11 of them are yours.
Counting is hard.
A) A page is not a thread
2) What does it matter?
III) Commenting on someone's post count is fucking rich coming from you
I'm not commenting on your post count. I'm commenting on your interest in a game that doesn't involve your team that's 3 weeks away from taking place. Are you an OU fan? Bama hard on? Just trying to understand your interest.
I've been an OU fan for 16 years. I married an OU grad, lived in Norman for 5 years and currently live in Oklahoma City. I have a degree from Ole Miss and am also a fan of them.
I used to have the OU logo in my fan of section but it wouldn't let me put the Ole Miss logo in front of the OU logo and that bothered me so I took it out. Sorry for the confusion.
I expected nothing less ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I have a lot of posts in here, dbl. Can I get a running count bc I need to prove to myself, and everybody, that I'm a bigger OU fan than futureman
I don't know you as a fan of another team so I'm not confused by you being in a pre-game thread involving these teams.
True, but futureman has posted in everything regarding Oklahoma and Ole Miss since the rivals days. Hard to believe you never noticed until now
I don't follow OU related threads unless it's a game thread and then there's fans of all teams in there. I typically stay in my lane.
I mean I don't pop up in random team threads, conference threads, etc. Hell I don't even post in the SEC thread. I post in the Bama, Jags, MLB, and sneaker threads regularly. That's really about it. I'll pop up in game threads if I'm watching the game and some current event threads. You can go through my post history and I'm pretty consistent.
Also quick question dblplay1212 . What's your issue with my fandom?
Rooting for 2 teams in the same sport has always been weird to me. If they happen to play, who do you root for? It's not a huge deal, just odd to me. You do you though.
Think he's more of a one team kinda guy. Definitely wouldn't like those folks who waffle between auburn and Alabama
Well this thread was good while it lasted
1a. What are y'all hearing in regards to Dax Hill?
1b. What are y'all hearing in regards to Jordan Battle?
People can’t help provoking dbl, and dbl can’t help himself once provoked. Rinse, wash, repeat
1a. No one is talking about him on our side
1b. Wait and see approach. Maybe slight optimism after the Meyer news
I feel bad for swerving into his lane, tbh. It was reckless and irresponsible.
A T-shirt Bama fan critiquing the fandom of another. My dear sweet lord this truly is the land of the free.
If Dax Hill legitimately chooses Michigan over Alabama based on their respective positions, I really question his intelligence.
I'm not really sure that I had an option. I was an OU fan before I went to Ole Miss. Its hard to just stop rooting for a team because you are rooting for another one. Generally I would agree with you on rooting for 2 teams in a sport but college football is pretty unique. There are so few games that unless teams are in the same conference they're more than likely not going to play but once in a blue moon. OU and Ole Miss haven't played in 19 years and have nothing on the schedule in the next 10. And lets be honest, they're probably not playing each other in a bowl game any time soon.
If they were to play i'd pull for Ole Miss and be hilariously annoying talking shit to my friends. I'd actually love them to play honestly, i'm a huge proponent of OU moving to the SEC.
I've established pretty clear rules for my fandom by the way. I root for Ole Miss in all college sport but I'm only a fan of OU football. I often refer to Ole Miss as "we" but only refer to OU as OU or Oklahoma. I get irritated when fans of Ole Miss who don't have a degree from there refer to them as "we". For whatever reason I think the "we" is earned by paying the tuition, spending years on campus, doing the work, and graduating. Unless you're a grad you're not part of the "we," you're a fan. You can be a die hard fan and root for the school in sports harder than anyone else but still you're just a die hard fan. I'm sure you understand.
Unless Dax decides to postpone signing until February, I don’t think anyone is getting their hopes up.
We heard Battle was locked in to OSU unless Urban left, so we’ll see. His family loves Bama, so I think we’re cautiously optimistic there.
