Shit is getting real in the field. Let's face it, if anyone ever deserved to be run over by a car and left in a ditch it is Scott Lockhardt.
It's the closest I've come to actually being able to justify what a douchebag he is. I don't feel bad for him, but it explains what a narcissistic cunt with a god complex he is. I loved when she somewhat called him out on it at the very end by referencing normal people who cheat or great people who don't.
I hated the first half. Bored me to tears. We all knew that about Noah. We knew he was a piece of shit, and like most of them, they justify why they do the things they do. I didnt learn anything new about him in that scene or have any light shed on who he is as a person. Plus it was another cruel reminder that we didnt get to see Eden get banged
Catching up right now. Only 1 episode behind now. Whitney is the best character by far. Every time she is on the screen its gold.
It seems that only Helen and the lawyer know for sure who the kid belongs to since Helen got the DNA test done. I think Scotty only thinks the baby is Coles because of the night he went to Coles house and Allison was there barely dressed so he's putting 2 and 2 together.
Wait. I thought Scotty thought the baby is Scottys? I thought that is the big secret. Scotty would have no more reason to think that it is Coles than Cole would. In fact theoretically Cole would have more info about that given he knows for sure whether he slept with her or not, and even then it would just be conjecture. Scotty posed it as a secret that Cole is not aware of, and I also thought the lips that were read were specific to Scott.
This was my assumption too. Wasn't that what the sketchy restaurant owner brought to Noah's lawyer? Security video of Scottie talking about 'our' baby with Allison?
I thought that was made very clear. When I saw the post I had to go back and question it, but pretty confident the assumption is that Scotty bamged her and thinks it may be his kid. Why else was there that interchange about the baby looking like his father and Scotty looking at him and being like yeah, he does. I don't see why Cole wouldn't know why it couldn't be his or why they would need to show him asking a passed out Scotty what the big secret was that pointed to Alison being a total selfish fuck always (not related to her child's death). I also think the story line with Noah looking guilty after last night is a complete red herring and it likely really is someone like Alison or even Cole that killed Scotty because of this big reveal about Scotty's involvement with Alison.
I took the "our" baby as being the Lockharts baby. With them thinking their family is cursed, it would be a big deal to the whole family if the baby was Cole's or Scotty's or anyone's. I guess I wouldn't be shocked if Allison slept with Scotty or anyone for that matter. I guess it would make sense for Allison to kill Scotty if he threatened to tell the truth about the baby being his, but she could also kill him if he threatened to tell everyone the baby was Cole's.
For such a smart investor he clearly missed a golden opportunity to buy the Lobster Roll and rename it The Max.
I still have no idea how this is going to end. Apparently the season finale is a "special extended episode"
Regardless of who did it and what their reasoning happened to be, they should be pinning a medal on the chest of whomever mowed down that piece of shit Scott instead of prosecuting them.
I can see that, if not for Scotty's independent statement of having something on Allison that would blow Cole's mind and him passing out and creating suspense for what it was, and where we are in the story arc.
I saw that twist coming, and there were a lot of questionable occurrences that even led everyone to being together. For instance, why would all of them be at Coles wedding? That all felt very convenient and most of all uncomfortable.
Mostly agree. I could see why Alison would be invited since they work together and have long history together, which would then invite Noah to be her date. I don't understand why Oscar would be invited/be there. Unless he was planning on crashing the wedding and causing some drama it just seemed really convenient for him to be there to hear Scotty and Alison's conversation. Made zero sense for Helen to be there. Also, not sure why they couldn't just have claimed self defense from the very beginning, seeing how Scotty was trying to rape Alison and all she did was push him off at her, it just so happened to be at the same time a car was driving by (another convenience it happened to be Noah's car). I think they could have had a compelling case to claim involuntary manslaughter or something since Scotty was wasted and trying to rape Alison. I guess the issue would have been Helen was driving and was drunk which would have been hard to get out of, but it would beat this whole cover up story they tried to do. I still really like this show and am looking forward to next season.
Agree, but her mom paid for the wedding and she wasn't going to bring her husband to it. I enjoyed this season a lot but I was ready for Noah to flip that shit on Allison.
I'm just catching up on the thread. Im not saying he wasnt talking like that, but you seem to forget how this show works, it was from Helens perspective so she could certainly remember it as much more ridiculous than it actually were.
We could just explain away any negative personality trait/action on the show as a possible exaggeration by the POV character then, or we could just take some things at face value. The gray area stuff that they think actually matters are shown from differing POV's usually in the same episode, so we can determine the truth to be somewhere in the middle. I think you are reading too much into a throw away comment I made about a cringeworthy sex scene.
sure you can take it for face value. I dont like Max much so i dont care if he's getting shown in a negative way. but the impression i got was that they were trying to show that she wasnt sure about hooking up with Max and she probably remember him as being worse than he was.
I just caught up. damn this shit is great, but it makes me feel like shit. I guess thats how we know it works. i have a few small problems with the split POVs but eh i wont bitch because overall its a great show. idk where they are going now but as long as they dont do 8 seasons and beat everything to death im sure it will be great.
I like the fact that we are really in unknown territory. Old story is behind us and just a backdrop for what comes next.
Usually hate shows like this and maybe it's my love of McNulty but this show is really intriguing and I like the direction it's going.
