Re: ****Official Arkansas Razorbacks Thread**** Pretty rare to see out there, but there's a few. Devils Den is pretty cool. Don't know if they still allow mountain biking there or not, I heard they don't anymore. There are some caves that go back for miles, which is a little much for my big ass.

Re: ****Official Arkansas Razorbacks Thread**** Butterfield is the only trail that's long enough for a multiple day hike. I recommend going to pack rat and picking up a good topo map of the park. Pack rat is an outdoor store on the corner of Gregg street and sunbridge. Really cool store with very knowledgable staff on the area.

Re: ****Official Arkansas Razorbacks Thread**** There are so many, I can't recommend just one. My best advice is go to pack rat and ask them for guide books done by a guy named Tim Ernst. The one that's called buffalo river hiking trails has about 30-40 different trails with maps and directions on each individual ones. Honestly I wouldn't recommend going backpacking until at least September at the earliest. It's so hot now it would just be miserable. I always shut it down around may and won't go again until mid sept. But when October rolls around you won't find a more beautiful area of the country.

Friend of mine in the department lent it to me. I feel like a lot of this one is like drive-up shit you can do with kids or a bitch. I want hardcore backcountry trail maps and shit like that. Secluded spots that only mountainous negras visit.

The majority of his trails are secluded and he has info on the buffalo wilderness areas, and you won't find more seclusion than that. Dec of 08 I spent 4 days out there and didn't see another human the entire time. Trust me. Tim Ernst.
