I never understood the mentality of not going to an easy-win home game (I know, I know, there are no easy wins when you lose to North Texas and Colorado St). For me, I'd rather go watch us win one of the two or three sure-fire victories this year. At least I know I won't walk away disappointed...at least not over a loss.
When I go to games it’s usually one of the big games that I know we are going to get our ass beat, like the Bama game. Just so I can watch quality football and the atmosphere is fun to take my son to. I’ve been to some boring ass games like the Southern Miss game a few years back that I wanted to cut my wrists by halftime because it was so boring.
Nutts first game as coach against Boise St was fucking awesome. I was sitting in those shitty bleachers in the north endzone in front of the Broyles Complex We won like 42-10 or something
Yeah anytime you win a game with a lot of highlights it's a good time. Beating a cupcake 30-6 is a fun game to me.

Ticket sales are struggling of course, but I think one of the biggest issues has been the heat for the opening game the past few years. No one wants to go sit in 90+ degree temps to watch a rent a win get killed. Funny thing is this year the temps should be much cooler. But yea. I get it. It really hasn’t just been the past year, you have to count in the apathy developed over the last two years with Bert. All of that together is contributing to the situation.

people are wary of the situation because we are arkansas and how Craddock apparently presented the information that he was out and they "don't really know what is wrong with him" was said has people freaking out... and rightly so. We have 4 real offensive weapons that we have been touted this whole offseason (Knox, Burks, Boyd, O'Grady). 1 of the 4 will not be 100% for game week (O'Grady), 2 are coming back from injuries from last season (Boyd and Burks), and now 1 originally was told "they don't know what is wrong with him" but then said shortly after he is just "sick" (Knox, or something around those lines). Has people in a tizzy. Hoping its nothing but with our shitty luck and horrible season we had last year, i can understand why it would be a big deal if the staff is trying to cover it up...
Now they are all saying its more of an illness than an injury... BLAH BLAH BLAH. The worst part is I understand confidentiality and all that mess but at this point, Chad and his crew need to come clean on it if it is something that will prevent him from playing or have an impact. Drawing it out for our retard fanbase to fester on never goes well... ESPECIALLY at Arkansas...
I know he went to the doctor yesterday to run more tests. Not sure what came out of that, but Chad (me) just had a press conference and said that he’s just sick and should be back on Saturday.
I was with some friends having a drink the other night. One of asks me if I got the free tickets email. I said yeah, it was for kids tickets at soccer games or something. He's like no, it's for the Portland st game. Go back and check and he's right. We both just have LR tickets now, just started shaking our heads in sadness.
I've seen people say their free tickets are in 50 yard line sections. Even if that's east side that's insane
I expect 40k for the home opener. And that's assuming some 15k show up on gameday on a whim. If we lose to Ole Miss there won't be 20k in the house for Colorado St.
The projected nice weather and the almost-certainty of a win might help on that front. But still, fans by and large are sitting out until actual results are produced.
