Re: ****Official Arkansas Thread**** hoops, you can usually get in free the past two years so no problem there foosball, tough ticket especially this year, but you can always find someone selling at the stadium. baseball is usually packed but you can get tix in the stands or the hog trough on the grass

Basketball is october or november, cant remember as its been a year. I was a grad student for the past 1.5 yrs so its easy just get downthere to the ticket office, call and find out when they go on sale cause for the past few years they havnt sent out emails like they used too.

Football season is the best time of the year obviously....Hope you enjoy your time here...Campus is amazing in the Fall
Re: ****Official Arkansas Razorbacks Thread**** Places you gotta eat at: Herman's (best ribs/really good steaks), ColombiaMex on MLK (best mexican), slim chickens (best fast chicken), Bordino's or Pesto Cafe (best italian), Hugo's (best burgers), Hunan Manor (best Chinese), Powerhouse (best seafood but thats not saying that much), Doe's Eat Place (best steak). Places you gotta drink at: Grubs(especially on a gameday), Z330, West End, Mickey Finn's on Mondays, various other places on Dickson. Other fun shit to do: lots of camping/outdoorsy locales nearby, but mostly its just alot of drinking you'll have to look forward to.

I don't intend to get cable so what do y'all recommend as the best sports bar to see (hopefully) multiple games on Saturdays? I just kopped a guidebook for the state in terms of outdoorsy shit. Really looking forward to it. Work doesn't start up in earnest until the 18th so holler at this thread if y'all are out. MB drinking is always entertaining. Thanks for the input guys. As far as sports bars go I personally love going to Foghorn's, but any other bar on Dickson will have games on; Grubbs (already mentioned), Sideways is also another good one (free pool and shuffle board + good selection of beers to choose from).

Tailgating isn't bad, I'm always in the pit (where jumbo screen is) thanks to a few friends that set up there so you could say that I have been spoiled my college career. Re: ****Official Arkansas Razorbacks Thread**** There's plenty of great BBQ here too...Whole Hog is the best food, Sassy's is good food, great atmosphere and best patio in town, Penguin Ed's is a local staple that never disappoints....Catfish Hole is the place to go for fried food, good fish, great hushpuppies...def should check out while here...Also, plenty of great pizza places, Tiny Tims, US Pizza, Damn Good Pies are three of the best Grub's is the best sports bar for sure, as mentioned...Brewskis has over 100 different beers or something on tap, questionable crowd sometimes, Smoke and Barrel is a small bar that is real low-key and a really good time and crowd...We have a huge Motorcycle Rally each Fall, about 200k people show up for it, it's located mostly on Dickson, but you cant get away from the motorcycles for a solid week...It's good for the area I guess, but it sucks mostly, although it is fun to check out if you havent been to something like that Beaver Lake is only a 45 min drive or so, great lake to fish, wakeboard, etc. Kings River is about an 1.5, same with Buffalo River, Mulberry River is about an hour drive south, down "The Pig Trai,l" a semi-famous stretch of old highway that goes through the Ozark Mountains, great drive, even better float Football practice opens at 3pm today if you wanna go check it out...open to the public for the next couple weeks
Re: ****Official Arkansas Razorbacks Thread**** Monday night marathon - not for the weak 5 PM - show up at Mickey Finn's for 25 cent wings and 5.00 pitchers 7 PM - go to Powerhouse for half price kilowatts(their drink that gets you super fucked up) and cheap seafood baskets if you were a fag and didn't eat at Finn's 10 PM - Grubs for the rest of the night, Monday night is half price night here You can get the most fucked up you've ever been for dirt cheap. Its also Pint Night at Brewski's. Thursdays at Powerhouse (Party on the Patio) are fun as well

Beginning on Thursday, student tickets not purchased will be made available to the general public for $25.
