Nope. Not at all. You said: After Pittman left they couldn’t find OL recruits that were worth a damn My point is why not. Pittman is only at one school and others seem to make do
Well the few higher rated guys didnt pan out(Merrick and Rogers). Anderson was an awful recruiter. He is good at coaching, but lacked on the recruiting front so the most recent couple years didn’t have HR guys, just the group that’s currently playing.
Also dumb takes: we did NOT regularly compete in the SEC or ooc games What is a big time recruiter HC. With the public face he gave: players coach, humor, laid back, hot wife etc how was he not able to recruit unless he is a lazy fuck who spent a shit load of time at Grumpy's but isn't a drunk
A big time recruiter HC is someone like Chad, Tom Herman, Dabo, etc. The coaches and programs that are being talked about for doing the flash and awe stuff. Doesn’t necessarily mean they’re a great HC when it comes to on field results, just that a lot of what they’re about is recruiting.
This is my point. I only know what I've heard and read about and all signs have pointed to being too friendly with the bottle, making an ass of himself in front of donors/parents/recruits at those meet and greets, getting away to Vegas too often with his wife, and leaving coaches and recruits out to dry (not to mention Ben's Apartment which is stated above). To even have these kind of rumors said about you is a bad deal. Now this may not all be true, but when there is smoke there is fire. I know you personally like the guy since you worked with him Ned Yocho , but I also can't ignore what I've read and heard just because you say "oh no that's not true."
Dude he was not friendly with the bottle, anymore than any other HC around. I worked with him every day for 2.5 years. He may have been that way in his early years at Wisconsin. You’re listening to and believing in hearsay. This has nothing to do with me liking him, I’m telling you what you’re choosing to believe in is a complete lie. Hell you even acknowledge it may be false and you’re just choosing to believe it despite me telling you. I have no reason to defend him anymore, I haven’t spoken to him in over a year, and have no great relationship. I just respect the guy and am telling you what you think he is like is completely false.
I get that. And I recognize he didn’t live up to his own, or others expectations. I just can’t stand straight up lies being told about him.

Don’t really give a f how much a coach drinks as long as he’s not pulling a sark and getting hammered on the clock. And honestly even then I wouldn’t care if he was winning The rumor always was that he showed up drunk when meeting Solomon Thomas. And I read that on message boards so who knows.
That could have happened. That was before my time. All I’m saying is that in the 3+ years I was there, he was never under the influence while on the clock, and sure as shit wasn’t during recruiting.
Moving back to NWA on Friday. I fucking hate moving especially during the fucktards on the fagcycles.
And by moving back I mean I've bought a house for my wife to live in while I'm 100 miles down south living in our other house still working until I find a job that pays worth a shit up there.
So looks like we are going to sign 25+ this class, with potential to sign up to 28-29. So that's good.
I don't think that's how it works. I could be wrong but after Ole Miss's 30 something signing class, the rules got changed to no more than 25 scholarships per class
OK, thought I'd read it couldn't be done. My bad, proceed. May Arkansas recruit all the WR's and DE's
Hard to get highly rates OL to come play for a 29 year old OL coach who has put 0 linemen in the league
bertwing says the one going to Ole Miss sucks (although I'm guessing still better than most we have) Sucks we are losing the guy from Camden tho
That's correct, but you can still sign 28 and have 3 count back to the prior year if you didn't sign a full class in 2018.
I had WIlkins in a game week one of the high school season down at El Dorado. Got his hat handed to him on multiple occasions by the DE from El Dorado. I'm not sure if it was a case of "I'm committed to OU so you can't beat me " or what, but he wasn't very impressive that night.
his recruitment reminds me a lot of Will Gragg's. a lot of buying into their own bullshit. we will see how he does at OU. i would obviously still like him to come to arkansas, though.
Zach Williams did well against him too. I'm interested to see what his film looks like after the first half of the season. He had a really good summer and obviously blew up.
He would go in two to three times a year with his staff. Would always come in out from the back/kitchen area. Get loaded and I've witnessed him being dragged out by his staff.
Spurrier drank coors banquet out of a sprite bottle at press conferences and he was one of the best of all yime
