Honeymoon period Dwight Howard is sexy. Late season/playoff games Dwight Howard returns home in a taxi after wrecking your car with dried cum stains on her face.
Yeah so I meant to say thanks for telling me about this. Went to Hawks vs. Magic a few weeks ago and got two seats about 15 rows behind the goal for $15 a piece. It was legit as fuck. Upper Deck was filled with people who probably paid more for tickets than I did. Gonna try this again for the Cavs game next Friday. Doubt I'll be able to even get upper deck seats for that one, but it's worth a shot.
Ilyasova has been great this season. Let's see how quickly he can gel with the team. We also signed Ryan Kelly. I had forgotten Splitter was on the team and Scott hadn't seen impactful minutes in a long time. I think we lost 2 2nd's but gained one back.
The new NBA landscape makes it so difficult to actually compete for a championship. You basically need two superstar caliber players plus a third who is a tier-one player although maybe not a superstar. Even if the Hawks had gotten PG13 or Butler, do we think they'd be in this category? I'm not sure Dwight qualifies as either type of player right now, although Millsap probably does. I feel like the Baze deal is really going to come back and bite us. His salary is 3rd on the team yet he's 11th in PER. Having that salary on the books is going to make it tough to bring in any key third piece unless its through the draft.
PG or Butler would have been nice because the Hawks desperately need someone who can take over the game. Add in Dennis, Millsap, and Howard and that is a really solid core 4.
How bad are seats usually for Game Pass? They're offering Cavs tickets tonight for $50 and my sister and her husband are in town and I don't have firm plans for us tonight. I just don't want to pay $50 if they're total bleeds. I assume they will be.
Another atl team loses to a legend having a legendary performance. Took a NBA record 3 night to beat the hawks. Sucks we gave them korver.
There is still a shot we miss the playoffs. We have a tough end to the season, while Chicago doesnt. Magic # is 4 for the 8th spot. Sucks to see us not get to benefit from having Milsap while we still have him. Would have been better off to trade him had we known he would be out so long. At least Baze came back and had a big night.
I'd almost rather us lose and drop to 6 so that we can avoid Cleveland in the second round (assuming they're the #1 seed). We looked great last night, but come playoff time I expect Bron Bron to get shit done.
We clinch a spot with a Miami loss tonight. Last nights game was ridiculous without one starter playing. Just to be in the game was shocking to me, but to dominate the final 9 mins and bury them? Let's get healthy and who knows. I really hope we can avoid the 8 spot.
I was watching at the airport and had to leave when they were down by 4 or 5 with like 18 seconds left. Can't believe they came back.
Prince has been so god damn good these past two games for a rookie starting. Is there any other rookie in the playoffs that is making a more significant contribution than him? If you don't read https://www.reddit.com/r/AtlantaHawks then you should. Easily the most entertaining sports reddit. It's been a meme the past year or so that Paul Millsap "Dad Dicks" everyone.
As scary as it looks they have actually been dominant the entire series. The first unit vs Washington's first unit is the biggest problem.
Seems like some awful close non calls there at the end. Not sure wtf they were thinking on the last possession passing, not that it really woutlive mattered down 4
Wes Wilcox out. Lets see if Bud changes the approach with the next guy. http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/19303540/atlanta-hawks-part-ways-general-manager-wes-wilcox
Horse has been beaten to death but I really think the play is to blow everything up and rebuild for the post-Lebron East rather than try to compete with the Cavs now. Howard signing was an overreaction to being bullied on the boards in the playoffs with Horford. Hope the new GM embraces that and hope Bud can stick around through it all because I think he's a good coach. The problem is, last year was the year to do it. With our new contracts, the default "young core" to build around is Schroeder, THJ and Baze. Not exactly a great foundation.
