I don't remember but I went on the Saturday where we thought the world was going to end because of snow and it never did.
I mostly do field work, and when I'm in the office it's typically 6:30-2:30 or thereabouts. But I should take the train more often, it just takes way longer than my actual commute does.
It's was just a test run tonight. The real thing will be better despite more people and no significant differences in infrastructure.
interested to see how many ppl take Cobb buses from Midtown station or, as the Braves suggested, ride their bike from the City to Cobb.
The sidewalks outside the stadium just end after a certain distance due to the ongoing construction at the Battery. Then your left wondering where the fuck your'e supposed to walk, meanwhile cops are yelling at you to get out of the road that you were just lead to walk into. All the while Uber can't find you and cars just keep circling the stadium like its an amusement ride. Great fun would recommend!
But one positive thing, the Omni will be sick when finished. If you are lucky enough to afford one of the rooms that looks over the stadium then good for you. Those will be bad ass.
FWIW, I took a Lyft to and from the game, had no problems finding the car, and made it home in like 15 minutes each way.
I left at the 7th inning stretch but had no trouble in and out. What I did have trouble with was the concessions. Waited a legit 45 minutes in a barbecue line that realistically should have taken 15 minutes if ran correctly.
Yea, the food service folks had no idea what they were doing yet. I got a couple beers once and they forgot to charge me for them. I had to tell two people that they needed to take money before it happened.
I may be late to the party but I tried Bell Street Burritos today and holy shit it's good. Hands down the best in that food genre
No duh, all those concession workers would only use marta to rob us wealthy and benevolent east cobbers.
Work flew me through Istanbul on my way to Italy and they lost my luggage for 4 days. That was terrible.
Jesus, there are probably twice as many people than normal at the Chamblee MARTA station this morning.
One of my buddies is coming into town for an interview tomorrow. We were trying to come up with a place to grab a beer/get dinner after he's finished but I'm not super familiar with the area without having to look up stuff on maps still. Can someone give me a recommendation for places close to Ashford Dunwoody Road in Brookhaven
Kaleidoscope, Southbound in Chamblee or Hudson Grille. There aren't many great spots to eat at in Brookhaven. If y'all want Mexican, there's a Pure, Verde or Jefe's(overrated and over priced)
This is true especially for people who stay after the fifth inning, they'll benefit from the lower crowds
This is the right answer. Solid beer list, awesome italian food/pizza. Also, the Lucky Burger in Town Brookhaven has decent food and a good beer list. Depends on what you're in the mood for.
What are thoughts of Antico, Gio's etc.? I went to Gio's on the way to Masters and thought it was amazing! May try to hit Antico pizza when I pass through Atlanta on Friday night.
I went Monday, we got rained out a bit but still got 5 or so hours in there. Going back for Saturday and Sunday and staying in ATL Friday night.
I have a flight Thursday morning on delta with an international connection in Miami through American. I'm getting nervous about it.
