Have you ever finished it? I barely made a dent. I had already eaten fried ribs and brisket/Mac and cheese empanadas though.
Yea, I order the short rib + Mac and Frito pie and finish it every time. But I always go super hungry because I know what I'm ordering.
trying to find a place to go to eat lunch and drink and watch some football in midtown or near the stadium. thinking tacomac. any other suggestions?
Cypress Street is probably the best place but it'll be packed. Taco Mac is decent. If you want to go to a hole in the wall closer to the stadium, Side Bar is decent. I'd call to make sure they are open during the day. They should be.
Cypress or Fado midtown Mostly generic stuff downtown. Sidebar is a great call. Tin Lizzys. Elliot Street Pub. I would avoid Stats or anything at CNN. Glenn Roof might be open with TVs.
Elliot street is a solid call too. I didn't know if Fado had many TVs set up. World of Beer is alright. Seemed expensive
Bocado in West Midtown personally. Holeman and Finch (just go to PCM location imo) and Grindhouse are both good, the latter has an outdoor area. If you want something in Midtown proper....Vortex. Not the best burger per se, but unique toppings/pairings.
From pics on Google, vortex's atmosphere looked a bit more intense than I wanted to deal with, so I went to Bocado. That was a very good and easy to eat burger. Got Varuni Napoli on tap for tomorrow night and then maybe somewhere on Friday if this work thing doesn't end early enough for me to beat the traffic. I really like this city.
Yea i love that spot. Lunch menu delivers too. Numerous times I will see movie or pro sports industry person in there too given its chill vibe. Parking sucks, but they have valet.
Murphy's has an underrated burger, though it's not that type of place. Still it's very good. When in the mood for one I typically go to Grondhouse on Piedmont. Easy parking, relaxed vibe and good burger, it's hard to beat. Vortex is good but I don't consider it anything extraordinary and parking is a difficult in that area.
We walk up there a couple times a month and while I wouldn't say it's the bets burger in Atlanta, it's a damn good one and super consistent. I've never gotten anything less than a good meal there
I enjoyed Atlanta. The Vinings area was nice because we avoided at ton of traffic and it's a nice little neighborhood. Tacomac was awesome-drank lots of beers and ate lots of food. No complaints.
yah i tried to stay in atlanta but couldnt get anything in the city with people booking up all the hotels for the game. did spend a lot of time in atlanta proper
Local Three is real good. Much better than I was expecting given its awkward location. My former boss used to go there so often they named a drink after him, so we'd have a bunch of company stuff there.
Sounds like they didn't turn much of a profit in the last two years and the landlord jumped at the opportunity to secure a local chain as a solid tenant. It was never too packed on the weekends but damn was it good.
We go to Harry's a lot and every time we parked back there by illegal food it seemed half-full at best. I wasn't surprised to see it go although I heard it was really good
L3 is one of my all time favorite restaurants in Atlanta, I absolutely love it. Going to Highland Tap for my birthday dinner in two weeks, gf laughed at me but I wanted it and haven't been in a while.
I hope King Kasim can do one more back room deal with Amazon to snag that HQ2 before he leaves office.
They put out a statement saying it had nothing to do with the landlord and they racked up 200k in debt during their operations of the place
This is gonna be a strong take I think, but of Atlanta pizza I've had: 1. Antico 2. Varuni Napoli 3. Ammazza
